2012 C63 to replace BMW 335i as a daily driver
Hi guys, I'm a new member. My daily driver is a 2009 BMW 335i with the M Sport Package, I am thinking of replacing it with a 2012 C63. I'm not concerned about the C63 fuel economy, my question is, how is it as a daily driver? is it harsh when the road is not very smooth? I sat briefly in a 2009 C63 last year and was not a fan of the seats, are they the same in the new model? Thanks for your replies, I've been dreaming about that C63 exhaust noise for some time now, and now I think I'm ready to get one!

maybe you should post this in the c63 section not slk55. the seats are no difference and i have to question why you hated them, they are badass. as for the suspension the newer ones are a little softer, as long as you dont get the performance package. a 335 w/ m package is not even close to a fair comparison to a c63, so you'll like it alot more.

2012 White C63 Coupe
I came from a '08 535i...and I love it...the seats aren't as stiff, they are a little softer, and the suspension is a little stiffer but nothing that's too much to handle...it's an ALL around better vehicle in my opinion...but go drive a 2012 and you will be able to answer that yourself

2009 C63
The first time I sat in the seats I wasn't a fan but when I came back to test drive it I found it to be much more tolerable. At this point I like them and they don't bother me. I think it all depends on body size/type.
In terms of suspension it's fairly forgiving. The exhaust isn't droning and it has great road manners. If I were going to be nit picky I'd say wind noise at 65-70mph can be a little loud (relatively speaking).
Other than that I find it to be very good for daily driving.

my commute is 40 miles each day (total) and I have no problems with it as a daily driver. I also have the 2009 model and LOVE the seats, best I have ever had. But it depends on your weight/size, I have "grown" a bit since I bought the car (went from 180 pounds to 205) and I think I am near the limit as its very snug, BUT it also reminds me its time to lose weight
Suspension is stiff but its a high performance sports car and should be. My wife hates driving it because of the power, she puts it in comfort mode as soon as she gets in (makes the throttle less aggressive), I only use that mode in the winter. My father had a 335i and now an M3 and I have driven both several times. Its a lot more fun than a 335i, and more of a brute compared to the M3, I am a big BMW fan but wouldn't trade my C63 for an M3 because the power is just amazing in the C63 and I don't track it (otherwise M3 might be better).
One thing you have to remember is maintenance costs SUCK with mercedes, with BMW EVERYTHING is basically free for 50,000 miles (including brakes), replacing brakes on the C63 will set you back $4K at the dealer! Tires will also need replacement after 5,000 miles on stock ones, 10,000 if you choose a different brand the next time (which I highly suggest). Also remember that Mercedes maintenance program which you can BUY does not include everything BMWs does. I am keeping mine until the new ones come out (M3 and C63) and am just praying that maintenance doesn't kill me (1 1/2 years left on warranty, at 30,000 miles right now).

Let me start by saying my friend has a 335i with the m package and proformance wise there is no comparison while he was redlining I was at 4000 rpm cruseing next to him. I don't use it as a dd but good lord I wish I had the money for gas that I could. I personally love the seats they hug perfectly to keep me in the seat on sharp turns. The ride isn't going to be as smooth as a s class but riding in my friends 335i compared to the c63 I would consider the ride similar...he is running on run flats tho

my wife bananas! :D
I commute about 90-100km each way per day. (so that's about 200 km total). imo if you are going to spend all that time in a car, you have to be in something you enjoy... reason why I am not driving a gas efficient KIA or similar stuff

Info
Hi,
could you tell me which is faster in a straight line. A C63 AMG coupe or a SLK 55 AMG ( latest models ). I thought I had at last decided which car to buy ie. CLS63 AMG but after going to the dealership today and finding out the cls is only a 4 door ( I was looking at a CL and I cant justify the cost ) my decision has changed. Any info would be great. At the moment I'm favoring the c63 coupe in white.
Cheers

I'm driving a 09 BMW 335 vert with M pkg now and ordered a white C63 coupe with performance pkg. I was worried about a gas cost and stiff suspensions too. I heard that MB improved on those problems on FL C63. My 335 is heavy and lowered than M3.. So hoping C coupe is much more suitable on DD than my 335.
