Midpipe dents normal?

Found these dents on the mid pipes near the differential while install the akra exhaust. Can't imagine what could have dented them, plus they are not rusted. Are those normal?

Really? Are those just extra rooms for the driveshaft plate or what? Seems really sloppy.

Yup perfectly normal.

That's why when you get a MBH X pipe they give you a modified subframe bar for extra clearence.

Ya, I think the dents are there to avoid any rubbing with the drive shaft flex plate.

my gess, there from the pipe bender, they look like examples of non mandrel formed bends.
