Fuel pump changes on C63
Tried to swop out fuel pump from a 2010 C63 into a 2008 C63.
Once stripped we discovered that the 2008 has a dual pump system
while the 2010 has a single pump. Still went ahead and tried to swop
them only to discover that the 2008 tank was about 1cm shallower
and that the auxiliary tank would not fit.
Anybody know why hey changed the fuel pump from a dual to single?
And why were the tanks changed as well.

MBWorld Fanatic!
These are just my assumptions but I would assume the 2010's probably use a more effective fuel pump. Probably has the same flow as the dual pumps.
Btw Where was the fuel pump located?
Why did you want to swap out the fuel pumps anyway?

Are you sure that's a 2010? Parts diagram shows two pumps for 2010 c63 (7 & 8).

Changing pumps because of the error below :
I have had this problem for over a year now. Car has gone to dealership
at least 6 times for the same issue. They have changed 2 sensors, one
one fuel rail and one at the rear. I think it is the pump so we decided to
swop over to check for ourselves.
When car warms up she begins to hunt on idle, goes from rich lean. This
causes a hesitation on take off at about 1800rpm. Once she is past
2500 rpm then she is fine.
