Insurance Rates

Insure.com just came out with a list from least to most expensive car to insure. The c63 coupe came out as top 20 most expensive, http://www.insure.com/car-insurance/...omparison.html while the c63 sedan is part of the least cost fastest car to insure, http://www.insure.com/car-insurance/...fast-cars.html. Maybe another reason for you to consider one or the other?

Interesting. When I was shopping, my insurance (state farm) quoted me the same rates

I think it depends on where you live as well. I pay $102.41/month for insurance on my coupe with zero deductible, accident forgiveness and full replacement for 5 years. Can't imagine the sedan would be much less. Heck, my wife's Highlander is almost the same per month!

The C63 coupe is actually a little less to insure than my M3 was.

Im 21 in a 2012 C63 sedan in the GTA so Im paying $400/month. It will go down to $350 next month when my first ticket becomes older than 3 years. I feel its a great rate but $100/month is wicked!!! I can only imagine the day.

Insurance is heavily dependent on a wide variety of factors, 2 door vs 4 door (should not make a difference, but it does), married vs single, past driving record, age, location of storage, distance driven daily, etc etc..

A single male under 25 in a part of town with a high theft or accident rate is royally screwed no matter how clean the driving record, where as a 30 year old married guy living out in the suburbs will get a much better rate..

What is odd.. is that my insurance did not change when I switched from a Toyota Camry to the C63.. why... because I live in PG County (just outside of Washington DC), it has a high theft rate, and the Camry is number 2 on the stolen vehicles list. Where as most AMG's are not on the list..

Dang 400 a mo? Crazy. I pay alot less on all three of my cars a mo. Also called on a 911 turbo I was thinking about picking up. Insurance rate was only 180 a mo. I am in my late 20's though.

Sorry, I can't see cheaper insurance rates of maybe 50 dollars less a month be a determining factor on a 70-80k car.

Here in Ontario it goes down drastically for males once they pass the age of 25. It has to do with my age and being in Ontario LOL. My friend (also 21) looked into insurance on a M3 and was quoted $750/month so I think I did very well for myself lol. Insurance still sucks for young people in Canada regardless.

Not all of Canada. . I'm on the east coast and it is cheap. Now, I'm also married, been driving for 23 years without an incident (knock on wood) and have been with the same insurance company for 15 years.

For you, maybe, but for the person who value his/her hard earned money which is probably the core reason why he/she was able to afford such car in the first place, I beg to differ there high roller..... let's see $50 x 12 = $600... there is my H&R springs and tint right there. Not here to argue but just making a point.

I agree - I like to look at percentages. I pay $1200 per year on my C63, $50 a month would equate to a 50% raise in my premium. I don't consider myself cheap but that is a big difference.
