My MB dealer offers a remote start kits especially for MB. U even use your OEM key. I am considering it for next winter but at 1000 usd it is pretty expensive

How do you get this? I see on the link you posted that it's in Chicago...I'm in NC and I'd like to get this on my car but I don't know who would be able to install it or if at all around here? I guess they would just ship it out to a service center here and then have them install it?

In Canada it was marketed as a Compustar unit, and it's a bit more expensive. I think I paid $1400 installed for the basic package, and $2000 with the iPhone App addon. I have it in my ex-C63 and my gf's B200 Turbo.
The iPhone App is awesome for going to Hockey games. Remote start the car with 5 mins to go, by the time we get to the car after the game, it's toasty warm.
My only complaint is that it doesn't fire up the seat warmers, I don't think any system can.

i'd be interested in one for my c55 if it's the one that you can hook up to your smart phone and you can get it to me for under $500 (price i was quoted at another dealer)

im up for a GB. one thing im a bit worried about is that i dont live in the states so i really dont have anyone to install it. i called them up and he was saying that they recommend it to be installed by a one of there dealers. and from his tone it seemed like its not very easy to install.
