Dynojet RPM sensor
to the people who usually dyno thier cars on a dynojet....
I ran my SL63 on a dynojet, but the operater did not know on which coil the RPM sensor should be placed. Therefore, I just ran it against speed. I wish to do it again and have the RPM be read. Can any of you show me where the RPM sensor should be placed in the M156, maybe by a photo. I would appreciate it very much.
Thank you

from one of my old posts . . .
*HELPFUL DYNOJET TIP: If your Dynojet Operator can not get a RPM/Torque reading there is a solution. Make sure they use the single/primary wire tach pickup and the red wire going to the coil pack. You get a perfect tach measurement everytime. My dyno operator was using a different pickup sensor previously that pulled the signal from the entire wire budle. We often got interference and bad data. Using the single/primary wire pickup will give you RPM/Torque everytime.

No, i can't.
Find the harness that connects to any coil pack. Cut the tape that wraps the bundle of wires so you can isolate the red wire. Make sure the dyno operator uses the single wire pickup for measuring RPM. You'll be good to go.

Just make sure to pull a little of the tape covrring the coil wires back to get a good connection. If not your torque reading will look like Michael J Fox drew it.
