The 2012 order bank for c63 is now closed.
Does anybody know the typical time lag between the closing of the order bank for 1 model year and the opening of the order bank for the new model year?

I know that last year the order banks for the 2012MY opened on March 17th...

I have an order in with the dealer a 2013 c63 and the wait is killing me -- it would help if I knew when the order could be placed in the order bank and when the build date and delivery date would be...

Does anybody have any inside knowledge for the 2013 c63???

I am about to place an order for C63 coupe in HK and the order is for july as manufacture date. I was told by my dealer in HK that the order for june manufacture is already full unless I order a Black Series. I am guessing July is the beginning of the new model year but my dealer told me there is no difference in the spec for MY2012 and MY2013! Hope this helps !

The options and stuff like engine specs won't change, but it's highly likely that at least electronics will get a change - for example, the mbrace2 system, which will replace the current mbrace system:

I always think that buying cars in hk are not really that fun. Wait 6 months for a c63. I see some C63 sitting in the dealer all the time . ps I come from hk .

It may be possible that mbrace can be upgraded to mbrace2, but so far I haven't seen any mentioning of it.

You r lucky ! we suffer the high tax (115%), long waiting list, limited availability, monopoly of 1 dealer .........!

but the wait seems to be shorter for BMW's (around 3 months)!

The wait for the 2013 models will be 6 months from now for anyone except maybe Europe and they may get delivery mid August so 5 months for them.

I think it will be in that time frame maybe a little later. I don't think pricing and build details will be available that early and the earliest build dates will likely be July for September delivery.

If it is a new model then it is possible they might do an early introduction as a 2014 Model Year March to May period. Because it will be a continuation of a model rather than a totally new line they may stick with the more normal time frame. I think it will depend on how much of make over the line receives and maybe on what the competition is doing.

Have to wait and see at this point.

I'm considering ordering a 2013 C63, but this thread has raised a few more questions than answers. So, if I walk into my dealer tomorrow, can I order a 2013 C63? I am in the US.

Also, the posts directly above have me wondering, is th C-class expected to be redesigned for 2014?

2009 MY build dates started in June 2008, delivery mid-July
2011 MY build dates started in June 2010, delivery mid-July

I know that last build date for 2012 MY is 2nd decade June.
I have heard rumors that they shut down the AMG factory for a few weeks - month between model years but I'm not sure if this is true.
I also don't know if they might start building a few 2013s while they are building the last of the 2012s?

I wish somebody who worked inside of the AMG factory could chime in with some knowledge about 2013 c63 build dates...

My source is not official. I have a friend that was a dealer till last fall and I got some idea of the order/delivery process from him and the rest is just what I have read of other peoples experiences and general interest.

Also, I don't think you are going to get any faster delivery than angusw has been quoted above no matter how bad you want it. Your dealer should be able to provide you with the inside information.

yeah , the tax is high. Also in hk I always see no young people driving C63 but here I see C63 all around in high school, college parking lot

I think it was released in 2007 as a 2008 model year offering. If that is correct then the C63 will be 6 model years old in the fall as 2013 model year.

So the next generation will be reviled in the summer of 2014 with retail sales happening spring 2015. Assuming they follow previous generations release schedule.

So the 2014 will still be a w204.

with a base price of HK$ 1,238,000 (around US$ 160,000), u won't see many high school kids driving it around in HK!

MB Release projected to be on July 15th

Oh, and Mbrace2 is standard.

just want to let everyone know that you cannot get mbrace2 in 2012 models...so if you can hold off to get the 2013, I would do it! mbrace2 seems to be very cool.
