Good news if its true....

Based on what consistent results and testing I would love to see....

That much power for how long? Is there a warranty or guaranteed for a certain amount of miles?

Okay guys I'm in.
Talked to Steve and I'm shipping him my tranny this week. Its probably the only chance I have reaching the 9's. I've had the power, just not the hardware and now the hardware is available. Lets see what they have. I've exhausted my runs with the stock set up and I can't get there. The stock tranny/converter just won't hold the additional power/torque for a full run.

Hopefully they will have what I need and we'll be able to get this power to the ground!! Here we go!!

Propain, have you realized that every post that has Weistec written in it has your muddy imprint in it? I'm pretty sure the parts they release have been tested on the highest hp cars. Just get over it man. Their parts work, and I can bet that over time everyone who wants to go faster than 10's (or 11's in your case) will be using these parts.

Cheers Mate.

Does it? Why is that you think? I have nothing against them really but I do see a lot of claims and some REALLY high priced items but I have really yet to see any real consistent results.

Your pretty sure huh? There aren't many 63's with 722.9's putting out that kinda power. I'm thinking this info is based off of carts results and earls which I haven't seen anywhere near enough of yet to be convinced.

You go spend 6K on a tranny rebuild for pretty sure. Ill wait for some results.

Cheers mate....

I dont think the prices are high. Considering the small market and R&D that goes into this stuff.

We should be grateful that a company like Weistec is actually developing products for our market. As we all know, there isn't many options for things like this.

Id like to know more about the TCU tuning and pump upgrade. How that would work with a LT header car... If we can get quicker shifts and how much quicker? Id also like to know more about the torque convertor and how that would work for day to day driving? Will the car be revving up to 2500 before engaging full torque from the engine??

Anyone know what the stall is on our stock torque convertors? Around 1300rpm?

im pretty quiet on the engineering aspect of everything on this forum cause i know there are more knowledgeable members than i on this stuff but i can hold my own. propain is very outspoken and i disagree with some things he posts but not enough to call him out. from what ive seen he know what he is talking about and some one with 8 posts that calls him out is a little funny. not saying that you know nothing cause you have only 8 posts on an internet forum but i think your comments are a little out of line. not trying to start anything but this is a huge deal for c63 owners and i cant wait for dad or anyone else to do some real world testing on an amg/mercedes engineered transmission. they have the money and the resources to make some bad *** stuff, so anyone that tries to make and improvement on them is good in my book. ive questioned weistecs prices in the past but i think this is one of the best performance deals you can get for a m156 if you have it heavily modified.

I am pretty confident Wesitec products will far exceed our expectations. I have the MCT on my SL63. I wonder if this upgrade could benefit me since I do not have a torque converter.

With all due respect, your modification appears to be limited to a ECU upgrade so I am not sure why you are worried about a warranty.

You are waiting more results...to do what? I would think your next step would be a header or perhaps intake modification before pulling your trans apart.

LOL - spot on....other people say to put up or shut up.

I believe propain may have posted warranty questions and how much power Weistec makes on pump gas with 6 pounds boost. I am pretty sure that even though these claims are now backed up from people all over the world who have bought the Stage 1 blower, propain has not purchased the system.

George - you received my email with the video clip showing the TC flashing to 2500?

Earl, since your transmission went through the same upgrades. How is the shifting pattern on your new rebuilt transmission?

Is the Rev limiter increased now to exceed the 7300 RPM range?

Jacob - I won't be driving the car until I am back into America after Easter but will let you know.

For the rev limiter I believe they have left it at the stock redline.

Love it... A simple question still goes without an answer yet the trash talk keeps flowing. You guys talk more than you prove as usual. The ironony of you saying put up or shut up. LOL

The reason the system has not been purchased is because for 1/4 the money I can buy headers and a tune and match its performance. I have yet to see 1 Weistec car with just the SC on 6lbs on pump at the track beating those times. Please feel free to prove me wrong and post up some links. I must have missed them. Anyone... Anyone....

Hopefully you guys can get to the track and PUT UP soon. Im sure Keith (Dads's) will make 200 passes on the tranny rebuild before that happens though so it really doesnt matter. The data will come from another source.

Propain, nothing personal but my point is:
Headers have been out for a long time and you don't have them.
Air boxes have been out for a long time and you don't have them.

Perhaps I have missed something but from my standpoint these are basic items. The fact you have not upgraded leads me (and others) to believe you just talk. I am sure when I am back to America I will be running the car BUT, I am not going to make a special trip to make you happy...
