2012 C63 Sedan...Dash "Vibration"?
There have been a few comments about similar issues.....mine is specific, & maybe a little different, so I'll try to explain it....maybe one of you guys has a similar experience.
We've had our 2012 C63 sedan for a few months now...just returned from a 1500K+ trip, during which we noticed an annoying somewhat intermitent "vibration"/"noise" emanating from the centre of the dash, behind the control panel/A/C vent area.
It's not a "rattle", & it's not there all the time.....mainly on corse surfaced roads, when you're travelling at a steady say 80/100ks....this little "vibration" starts.....sounds like there's a loose nut/ screw or something, maybe touching something else.
Like I said, it's not a "rattle"....when going over bumps, railway crossings etc, the car is completely silent.....it's just during normal travelling, on some roads, this annoying little "vibration" starts up!
Anyone got anything similar?
Cheers, Pickles.

I have the same damn thing!
Have had the car for about 2 weeks. I'm apprehensive to take it to the dealer and have them pull it apart. It's every once in a while and if I put light pressure on the center of the dash it goes away. Annoying though...almost like they needed another securing clip or screw in the center or something.

With three of you guys on here with the same noise you can bet this is a common issue. MB will have heard of it by now and presumably be able to fix it easy enough and without needing a hatchet job on your dash.

Crackling noise in dash
Hello, I bought a 2012 P31 recently from my local MB dealer. I have a 3 yr certified warranty. I have this annoying damn noise, like gift wrap crackling in the dash near the windshield. I would prefer avoiding the dealer fooling with it if you were already able to diagnose the issue. Can you tell me what any of you figured out with your noise? Thanks!

It's most likely caused by the plastic dash rubbing against the A pillar. Try jamming something between there to keep the surfaces from touching. For me, I shoved a small folded piece of black plastic card material and it stopped. If you push on the top of the dash by the A pillar you will probably hear the noise and be able to isolate it.

I have this too. I just found this video on pulling the center console apart and it seems to come out pretty easily. Sometime i think it comes from the 3 rings in the instrument cluster. Other times it sounds like it comes from the center console area. Could be separate issues though.
