Can anyone provide me with a part number for this hood spring? Can't seem to locate it. Somehow I managed to break the plastic part of one of mine when closing the hood.

Good luck to you. Never used that part w my cf hood. I suspect if you don't let the hood drop you'd be fine.

I think you are right, but I'll go ahead and replace it. It actually broke when I closed the hood on a small flashlight I forgot move to out of the way. The hood spring landed on the flashlight and the plastic part inside the spring shattered.

There are four tabs on the back side of the spring base. They snap into place.
