ACR has a lot more downforce which gets handy at high speed cornering

While not an "ACR" variant yet, the 2013 SRT Viper that was recently unveiled looks amazing, IMHO.

Not sure what it'll list for, but I'd expect it to be somewhere in C63BS territory.

We cannot say until we actually see both cars racing. The new BS C63 is underrated. Its making more horsepower than what is actually been rated on paper. It has SLS cams and forged pistons. Not to mention, the new AMG MCT speedshift and light weight design.

Acceleration from a standpoint. I would think the BS woud come on top to at at least 115-120MPH, after that the snake would unleash its poison

The c63 black series doesn't stand a chance against the ACR. My friend owns one and i drove it couple of times and i can tell you its crazy fast and handles like no other!!!
ps:It even handle better then the GT3RS !!!

My partner has an 05 viper 500hp version and I can't go past him even with my mods... BS doesn't stand a chance.

I really love the C63 BS and would easily choose one over a Viper ACR from the perspective of ownership. However, the Viper ACR is in a whole other league of track performance. It makes so much downforce at speed that it's not really a fair fight. Compare the Nordschleife times - the Viper ACR has a 7:12 lap compared to 7:46 for the C63 BS.

The new 2013 Dodge Viper would absoloutely Kill any stock AMG car. It is making around 640HP and 600 Ft/lb torque and it looks very beautiful

Comparing the current gen ACR with a Black Series really makes no sense. The ACR is a street legal race car in every sense, add an X to the name and it is competition ready. The Black Series has refinement that isn't even considered for the Viper, at the expense of all out performance. The design of the Viper and Corvette for that matter, low,wide and light are proving to be unsurpassable as they dominate most production supercars for far less money.

Now the 2013 Viper is interesting. Obviously it has a much improved interior, comes with ACRX power and Dodge even threw in a traction management system so that more new owners will still be alive when it comes time to purchase another.

The new viper not standing a chance as Jacob states is ridiculous...this is a race car, the older generation and definetely the new 2013 is a full out monster...the Black Series being compared to it is like comparing a C63 to say a Mazda 6. come on guys, I love the AMG product line and the whole MB brand, but there comes a point that reality should be taken a little more serious. Dodge has definetely used Alfa Romeo styling department to its advantage, this car borrows many styling cues from the Alfa Romeo 8c. This car is going to destroy many many supercars, I driving the SLS if approached by one of these monsters may relegate me to playing with my B&O and pretend he is not there. Not sure if I want to take this car on yet.

I agree. There are angles where I really don't like the 2013 Viper but then angles that I think its amazing. I need to see it in person. The front end is very "Vette Like" now. The performance will just be jaw dropping though..

The Answer is obviously no.

There is no contradiction. The first post I made was comparing the BS with the previous fourth generation Viper. I even mentioned that on the high end the viper would beat the BS if not from a standpoint.

The second Post, I was talking about the new generation viper (5th generatrion) which is 40HP greater than the previous one and lighter. Which in turn corresponds to better acceleration.

Therefore, I was talking about two diffrent vipers

Anyway, just wanted to make my point, you seem to have misunderstood me!

FWIW, I don't think a 4th gen Viper ACR would have any trouble beating a C63 BS - street, drag strip, or road course.

from a roll, absoloutely. the viper is much lighter and more powerful. But how does a stock viper with stock tires (4th generation) compare with a C63 BS from a standpoint. Launching in a 4th generation viper is a *****. I have seen it skid on track many times. Dodge mentioned in some recent articles that they have resolved this issue by improving the dynamics of the drivetrain and installing a modified diffrential. for the 5th generation.
