That is crazy... it's sad that some ppl are purchasing this limited edition car for profit & not as a car enthusiast.

Now I know why Ferrari are being selective when they sell limited production cars (like having to own few other Ferrari)... to avoid this.

It's kind of funny how the sticker denotes the car as a Mercedes-Benz C 63 at $61,430 and then off to the right side it has P98 Black Series Package for $43,570....like a regular C63 is roided up with this Black Series package that you can add for $43K...

What a greedy clown...selling it to make a $50K profit...

Why don't you guys just buy it in the US and import ? It would be MUCH cheaper.. You just have to replace the nav.. and no warranty... but it's a brand new car.. and even if you need a major repair you'll still be saving a LOT of money...

There are legal ramifications...they are clearly spelled out when signing papers and taking delivery. It's not as easy as it seems...

Well, I'd wait until the car is one year old and then buy a very very very very low mileage one and import if I lived overseas.

The sellers perception is one thing. It would be interesting if it will sell. I just hope AMG buyers are smart enough.

Yes but this SLS is a lemon buyback... no thanks here. The seller claims its for Keyless Go issues but this type of car is very hard to move with titling issues.

Even if you're breaking the no export agreement signed when you purchase a US or CDN car, every country has strict import restrictions and taxes on vehicles where cars spec'd and certified for different markets simply aren't allowed in.

It took Bill Gates to get the Show and Display law passed just to get a 959 in the US.

AMG GLC63. Audi R8
It's stupid to pay more than MSRP for any car. Remember the NSX when it first came out. Huge over MSRP premiums were paid. Same with CLK63BS. You might as well throw the money in your fireplace.

The NSX is an interesting one, even if you paid more than MSRP first year, you'll be able to make it back selling it today. The prices are crazy!

Not many CLK BS's sold over MSRP. In fact, most of them sold well below MSRP, the last of the new ones were blown out at ~$90k new. There was way more supply than demand back in 2008. If anything, it was the Porsche guys buying 'em up as daily drivers did people really know what the car was about, spiking demand, and bumping prices back into the 6 figure mark on the used market.

The C63 BS is a little different. People know what it's about now. There's only 70 coming to the US. The supply isn't meeting demand, so we'll see them trade above MSRP. I doubt the car will hold value though. There will be the next great Black Series in a few years, and prices will tumble, like the CLK BS prices are now.

I'm lucky to have an excellent relationship with my dealer. I got a discount on mine.

Did anyone notice that the same seller also sold this item a couple of weeks ago:

Incase Nylon Sleeve Case - 17" Macbook Pro - Black
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...ht_1662wt_1165

Yes, he sold a $1 laptop sleeve on eBay (with $12 shipping, but still!?)!! WTF

You would expect someone selling a C63BS for $172k as "new" to be some sort of a car dealer/flipper..not someone who also sells this using the same account:

Women's Tom's Canvas Wedges - Women's Size 6 - Light Green Calypso

12' C63 BS, 08' CLK63 BS
I was willing to pay a little more than MSRP, but not that much of a mark-up. I was trying hard to get my hands on one with no luck, so I traded my 09' GT-R for a a 13' GT-R BE. I was trying to get the matte black one with aero and track package that was headed to San Diego. My dealer told me 50 C63 BS and out of those only 20 had the track pkg, and only 9 had the aero pkg.
