C63 owned by a Ford diesel truck...?!

First post...couldn't help it. I didn't think to post it in the kill section because, well obviously, this gentleman's C63 got owned by a Ford diesel truck and he's quite happy with himself and the AMG was the one that got killed...

http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=15826

I test drove a C63 recently. I own a 550+ RWHP/1100 RW Torque 4+ ton diesel truck and I couldn't imagine racing a C63 well into the triple-digits...unless I wanted to waste fuel and embarass myself that is.

Comments? With the exception of one other delusional individual, no one's buying it, at all. Wanted to see if it was anyone here or anyone that could help set the record straight with a rematch (regardless of the fact that it's not worth your time!)

The link you posted requires registration, however you can browse the forums, under which specific topic is the thread posted.

Which sub-forum would it be in? I typed "C63" in search and nothing comes up.

why such a surprise?

Lots of heavily modded car can own C63. You don't know what's under the hood

It's not a heavily modded CAR, it's a diesel truck weighing almost 3K pounds MORE than a C63, and it's on 37-inch tires...

And not from a dig, from a roll...did you read the thread from the link?

I don't know if it was that exact model, but I busted a C63 AMG from an interstate roll twice in a row from ~70-80 to ~120-130 with my old dinosaur 7.3 moving 37" tires.

Figured I'd throw that out there, given your traitorous screen name.

It did sound nice though.

This is the quote. I really doubt it!

My E-***** feels much smaller now.......

BTW-Which sub-forum is it in since the link you provided needs registration? I tried searching "C63" and nothing comes up. Didn't find it in the Drag Racing sub-section either.

Tks.

EDIT-Do you have to be a member to view the AWOL sub-section?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure if that's the case, but if it is, I guarantee the few seconds it will take you to register will be returned tenfold in pure entertainment value if you do decide to!

Just throwing this out there, but my VelociRaptor (~550 to the wheels) would probably pull on (maybe not walk) a stock C63.

That's a Hennesey build...? I know there's different pacakges. We're also talking 60-130 MPH, not from a dig, but that VelociRaptor weighs less than a 1-ton diesel POS...on 37s...

And you'd know better than someone that doesn't know the difference between a regular C-series and an AMG!

This guy is a troll, don't believe him. Depending on the diesel, they typically weigh between 5,500lbs to 8,500 for a duallie. His redneck carriage will need close to 1000whp to stay close with a C63 on the top end.

Some of you need to visit diesel night at your local dragstrip. A C63 wouldn't stand a chance against many of them.

I'm trolling the guy a little over at the powerstroke site..

As for Jumpingjim, while some said it would never happen, I maintain my previous statement over at the other forum, given enough money and modification, anything can beat anything else.. Comparing apples to apples and oranges to oranges is the only way to make a valid determination, and I doubt there are many diesel trucks in stock form that could beat any AMG, except maybe off the line (some of those machines have monster torque numbers). Of course, if you put that much money into a C63 for mods as you did with the diesels, odds are we would have a monster C63

I highly doubt that it stayed close after 110.. the gearing alone in a diesel would top it out at around 120-125. esp with 4.10 -4.88s

I can smoke mustangs with my 4runner all day long to around 50-55 in my 4runner, doesn't mean im going to keep going.. and its running on 39.5 iroks and has a 5.7 tundra v8 supercharged in it.

who gives a damn, i'd rather drive a c63, esp when you have to turn.

I've seen stock looking Dodge diesel pickups run in the mid 9's at 140 plus. There is no AMG that's going to beat that truck on the street. None.

I've had my *** handed to me in my E55 by a big Ford diesel that pulled me on an entry ramp we were both trying to be first on.

Respect the diesel.

I find that hard to believe. Unless racing against racing specific racing cars like an Audi R10 TDI, it's hard to believe that C63 will be owned by a run of the mill car with diesel engine, even souped up, in terms of acceleration and top speed.
