Loud popping/cracking sound??

I discovered a nice access road close to my house that gets very very little traffic and an excellent "road course" for spirited drives. It's got great visibility and nice turns, even a 90 degree So I drive my car very aggressively and feel very comfortable throwing it around. So I generally go to a part of the road that is freshly paved and completely straight and let it rip for 1/8 mile, before going through the twisties. I need new rear tires so I'm having fun burning up what's left On my first run from a dig, ESC off and M mode, full throttle, I heard an extremely loud pop sound and said WTF, I must have blown a tire Checked the tire monitor as I slowed down, everything good. Finished the course went back to the start and it popped again three times this time--seems like at every shift. Is it the exhaust back firing or possibly the LSD digging in?? I've run my car WOT from a dig dozens of times before, but my first time with ESC off and M mode at WOT. Sound familiar??? Man I love this car I have P31 and LSD.

I wouldn't say 100% gripping, but I did hear it pop once today right when I felt the wheels hook going into third gear and it made me think of the LSD engaging, but would it be that loud to hear over the exhaust?

1st and 2nd are pretty hard to grip at WOT with ESC off

Any thoughts on it? Exhaust or LSD??
It sounds like a loud whip cracking/popping sound.

I don't think it's the LSD anything with that before it goes u should hear a grinding noise.

Exhaust I don't know, maybe unburned gas.

It will go BANG BANG BANG as it bounces off it...

But surely you know that???

Only pops and crackles I hear is when I let off the throttle.

I get a pretty loud BANG up WOT upshifts. Not sure if its the same kind of bang you're describing though.

Me too but it is more of an exhaust popping sound. It's almost like the car farts between shifting because I'm squeezing the gas pedal so hard

Yeah, I'm guessing it's this--do you guys hear it in all modes C,S,M and w/ or w/o ESC on? I just never heard it before at WOT--I'll have to do more research I'll video it next time!

EDIT: It's like a really loud balloon pop and its definitely heard over the exhaust, hmmm--I wish it wasn't raining

Yeh, I get it in S+ and M only because those are the ones I drive in if redlining. Going through something like a tunnel and the bang is VERY obvious. I bloody love it! The sounds this car makes even from stock set up are amazing.
