Scared to go to the stealership

Folks, if I have a Eurocharged tune only and need to get some maintenance done on my Merc, I here that they can perform an ECU update and I could potentially loose my 50+ HP.

Should I just find a local shop to perform routine maintenance?

I have never heard of a dealership reflashing an ECU, but it could happen. I'm guessing eurocharged would reflash it though.

Unless there is some specific reason, the dealer will not reflash your ECU. Ask you dealer if there are any outstanding recalls or reprogramming survice bulletins out on your vehicle. In any event Eurocharged should reflash you tune for a nominal service charge.

no charge I think and yes they do sometimes do a upgrade flash,,, if you know the mech or ask to talk to the mechanic slip him something and tell him not to touch the ecu, that is what i did and still have my tune. jim

Just tell your SA not to reflash your ECU. If something goes wrong with your car, dealership can find out your car was tuned anyway.
