C63 AMG (facelift)
C63(non-facelift) or E350 coupe?

hi all! im now bugging out so bad, im choosing between the non-facelift C63 and the E350 coupe. about the budget problem, i can't go for the facelift C63, so now i can only go for the non-facelift one or E350 coupe..
any advice?

Honestly don't know what you're looking for, they're completely different cars.

I'd take a c63 a million times over any non-AMG E class.

The C63 is on a completely different level than the E350 coupe. The fact that you're considering the E350 goes to show that performance is not your main concern, otherwise you wouldn't even be deciding between them... so choose whichever one you like more in terms of comfort and style. If it were me, I wouldn't even be deciding between them... I'd take the C63, but that's because I would get bored with the E350 very quickly in terms of performance.

I think OP's decision choices are mainly due to the C63 and E350 being roughly the same price point.

To OP, I had this issue for about 1minute when I was deciding on buying my C63. The reason it lasted all of that 1 minute was because I really like the E class look. My decision for the C63 > E350 was this...

AMG
performance, the E350 does not come close
AMG
more aggressive styling
AMG
the legendary M156 engine
and did I mention the fact that it is an AMG? here is a chance to drive and own a true engineering marvel... who knows what happens to the future models but right now the C63 is a fantastic vehicle at a great price.

E350 is really sloppy. They claim it has 292hp but you cant feel the power at all.
A C63 wont be that much more expensive in maintenance so go for the C63. I've driven 140'000km with it in the past 3,5 years and I still enjoy the car.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
Question

Like others have said...two TOTALLY different cars....perhaps you'd be best off deciding what sort of CAR it is that you need, then have a look at other similar brands to M.B. .....ie BMW, Audi, etc etc....& then see if there's a M.B. that suits your needs.
Sure, the C63's great.....and we LOVE ours, but I can see that it wouldn't be for everyone.
Cheers, Pickles.

0-100 is 6.4 versus 4.5 in stock form. If performance is of interest it is a nobrainer.

C63 AMG (facelift)
yeah.. actually it's all about the price point.
actually im totally in love with the facelift C63, but just because of my budget problem, i can't go for that. i like the E350 just because of it's look, but i love the performance of the C63 and the sound as well...

just go with the c63 even the pre facelift feels very modern has all the power and looks you need. Give it a test drive and then deside, you will love it form the moment you turn the key to on.

E350. It gets better fuel economy, and the "E class" is higher in the model range than "C class."

i actually like the looks of the prefacelift c63 over the new one.

the lines and angles are still the same for pre and post. You just need to decide what you can compromise with. for some of our members, they want the latest and greatest. For others, myself included, we love the C63 W204 model and will drive it till it breaks down.

as others have said, go for a test drive (or another one if you need to remind yourself). Then determine what you can and cant do. I personally went and spent a bit more for a MY2010 over a MY2009 because to me I liked the changes from that year. However, many of our members found the 2009 to be just perfect.

btw, you do know that the e class will have a facelift soon yes?

I have a C63 and my wife had a E350 Coupe. I didn't like the E350 - it felt under powered and the transmission was very "lazy". It was no fun to drive.

And any AMG is higher in the Benz line up than regular "E class".

short story...

My parents have a current E350. I drove it around a few times before I had my C63 and thought it was pretty decent. Felt handling and power were fine. Then I got the C63. Now that E feels like a numb and floppy mess. *shrug* Perhaps a bit harsh, but that's my opinion on the matter.

If you have a budget problem, get a Honda Accord.

I was in love with the E550 coupe and went with a C63 because at the end of the day it is a much sportier and exclusive vehicle. If you have it as a daily driver be prepared to live with a ar that wears because of its stiff ride. If you are coming from a sports car you should be alright. No question, the E coupe is a more comfortable car.
