Velos Designwerks Tune Review
Well, finally made it into the 500hp club!
Just got my ECU back from Velos Designwerks in Miami and all I have to say is wow.
Omar, whom I dealt with to get everything set-up, was extremely professional and a joy to work with.
As to the results, I have not had the opportunity to dyno the car yet, but will do so in the coming weeks after all the computers have had an opportunity to learn the insanity that this car has become..why didn't it come like this from the factory?
Overall, the change in the driving experience is a lot better than I anticipated. Shifts are quicker and more responsive, and the power on tap is phenomenal. If I had to antiquate it, I would say that every gear now feels like what the stock ecu felt like in one lower gear..the pull at low rpms is now much more pronounced and you can really feel that the car wants to go. No barely pressing on the throttle nonsense, it wants it to the floor.
Throttle response is also much better now and the engine feels like it's revving much more freely. 3rd and 4th gear are just insane now - my michelin's are holding on for dear life lol.
At the end of the day, I am super pleased with the results and would highly recommend them to anyone. Obviously time will tell, but as of right now, I couldn't be more delighted. No check engine lights, nothing...just trying to drive the car enough that it familiarizes itself with the "facelifted" ecu. Every pull gets smoother and smoother. Can't wait to experience the car in a few hundred miles.
Once I get the dyno done, I will post results.
Cheers!

Oh, and BTW, does anyone know which gear is 1:1 for the dyno?
I'm assuming 5th, but I may be wrong.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dynos #'s are useless. Especially if you don't have a baseline for when the car was stock to show the true gains.
Take it to the track if you want to truly review how well the tune performs.
Enjoy the new power.
