ROW exhaust any different from US versions?

Just curious, since I just stepped out of a ROW car, with stock exhaust and ECU tune. Compared to my car with the exact same ECU tune, the ROW exhaust note sounds so much better...just curious if anyone has info on the ROW exhaust being different from USDM spec?

It might be because of the ROW airbox, but I'm sure others can chime in more info about this. The ROW airbox is basically less restricted than the US and Canadian version if I recall correctly.

AMG GLC63. Audi R8
ROW airboxes are less restrictive (no carbon filters). Not sure about the exhaust. ROW may not have secondary cats. All you have to do is look underneath to see.

Nah, we still have secondary cats...

but I didn't notice any the "pinches" in the pipe work that I've heard of in your US systems...

For sure there ROW airbox is different aside from the lack of a charcoal filter, the box itself is a bit different from the pictures I've seen.

The sound I heard is very different though and didn't sound like an induction sound but rather an exhaust sound.

I've done charcoal delete on my car also.

If there is no big difference, then possible, it is because the car has more milage on it, and has been used more often on longer trips perhaps.
