Cheap and Light 18s or 19s for road course track
Im looking for some moderately cheap (around 1000-1500) wheels for the road track.
Something light weight, around 20lbs or so a corner.. 18 or 19 inch.
Does anyone know the offsets that will work on these cars? I want to run 245 up front and 275 in the rear....
So far I have came up with Enkei RSM9...
Is there anything else in the correct size and price range?? I just need something to mount some tires for track days once or twice a month.

The main issue with inexpensive wheels for the track is they often require centering rings as they are often not hubcentric. Plastic rings may melt, aluminum rings may fuse to the hub. Unlike BMW, inexpensive wheels don't exist for this car without some compromise.
If you do find something, I would be very interested!!

the forgestar f14 is popular, light and in that price range. I had never heard of them until I came here. Apparently they take a while to get though. You can search, it has been discussed i think.
It would be nice if there were some other inexpensive choices. Back when I had my e36 m3 there were a bunch of options (Kosei K1, ssr comp, bbs rc, etc...).

Cheap....and light? And strong enough for track use? I don't think that exists. Light wheels are expensive, period. 20 lbs a corner? Rays wheels, Advans too. But they are 1000 each. Forgestars are a cheap cast wheel that is lighter than stock, but more like 24lbs a corner. You need something strong too. Probably a one piece forged.

Do you have Forgestars? I do. 18x9 front and 18x10 rear and they are less than 19 lbs. front and close to 20 rear. I've bent a couple of them but it happened on the street and not on track. For that matter a couple of my stock rims are bent too and it happened on the street. The metal centering rings work fine. The wheels were promised in 1 month and took 3 1/2 to arrive so be prepared to wait. For the money you won't find a lighter or better wheel, at least I couldn't. If you find one, let us know.

I change my wheels constantly and track my car as often a possible, which is a lot. Sometimes the rings come off with the rims. Other times they don't. I use a large channel lock when one sticks. I don't recommend prying with a screw driver if one sticks. So, I can confirm that they do stick from time to time if you don't put a little axel grease on them.

Currently we're out of the 18x8.5 front barrels, they will be back in stock by the end of may.
We can do a 18x9F and 18x10R right now. They will weight 19 lbs front and 20 lbs rear and will fit within your budget. They take 6 weeks to machine, finish and deliver.
Send us a PM if you want a set

I went with the TSW Interlagos in 19s
They are pretty light 19lbs front and 21lbs rear.. Rotary forged.
I ordered with metal rings, a little grease will stop them from seizing at track days.. They were pretty cheap, 1300 bucks.. Gonna mount RE-11 on them 245 and 275.
Probably would have went with F14s but the wait was too long.

Another nice thing about the Forgestars is that you can afford two sets of fronts. Unlike the street, front tires wear out much faster at the track. Having four fronts allows you to swap between sessions and extend the life span. Very frustrating using up your tires before the weekend is over which happens easy down South in the summer. I also have never had an issue with the rings seizing to where I couldn't just pull it off by hand. I have about a dozen weekends on these wheels now in very hot conditions where the track temp has been way over 100 degrees. Tough on tires, oil and brakes but the wheels are no worse for wear.
