First time out drag racing in the C63!
Well I finally got to take out the C63 drag racing. The 1/8 mile track opened up after its bankruptcy fiasco, now gotta wait till the 1/4 mile track finishes with its court hearings to go there.
I was able to get 3 runs in. But I was getting that dreaded 2nd gear "slip" (for lack of a better word) in the 1st and 2nd run. So after the 2nd run I decided to reset the adaptives, and it felt much better and got a faster time. I didn't get a 4th run in to see if it "slipped" again.
What do you guys see that can be done different? What do you guys think my time/mph in the 1/4 mile will be?

No way man...well into 11s, if not 11.6-11.7, just compare to some of the other timeslips on the 1/4 mile sticky.
Nice! What was the DA? Once you get the launch down, you can really help your time...

I noticed over an hour until your car ran the final time, and best. These cars require a good 6 to 8 runs, basically hot lapping, to do their best. Experiment with your tire pressures too, I think something around 18 psi should do the trick. The launch takes some practice too, it can be finicky. I think maybe launching at just above idle would be best. I tried everything and seemingly trying to launch at 12-1500 rpm, the car seemed to bog or slip as you described. You should easily be able to drop a tenth off that 60, and the car has 11.3-11.5 in it.

Next up is the 1/4 mile, but I guess I'll have to wait and see when the track opens back up.

Cool. Maybe you can run merc, seems if you compare your 1/8 to his, you should easy be around 11.7. Yeah, I think just enough above idle, maybe 800 rpm, to take the slack out. Then maybe try from idle.
