ECU Tunning

Thinking of getting the ECU tune by MCCHIP (Stage 1), will it harm the engine?

Your advice would be appreciated thx!

Seeing that you're in China, I assume this is a local market tuner? I've never heard of MCCHIP before...most users on this forum would recommend Eurocharged, OE Tuning, Renntech, Kleeman, or MHP. Velos Designwerks is another tuner getting good reviews.

Thanks very much for your response!

MCCHIP is from Germany, it may not be as popular as the other brands on the market.

I would just ship your ECU to Eurocharged in Hong Kong.. probably alot easier and faster

but seriouly, out of all the brands why McChip, its not like they are dramatically cheaper than Kleemann, or Renntech... but best bang for the $$ is Eurocharged

wow i was going to do renntech this summer for over $2k, but just compared it to Eurocharged. They are charging less than half and get up to 540 hp compared to Renntech's 517.

Is there any reason to go with Renntech vs Eurocharged?

i guess the only benefit is that there is a renntech location about 30 miles away from me whereas eurocharged is about 4 hours away. i might just go ahead and mail the ecu to them now instead of waiting until summer.
