Has anyone ever matched up a non P31 pkg car againt a tune only M3? My nephew just got an 09 M3 (SMG). He bought it used and doesn't know if its tuned. We are going to find a place to do a 50 - 100 run somewhere and see how they match up. Just wondering how I would do against a tuned M3. Thanks for any comments.

Stock c63 vs tuned M3, I would expect the roll ons to be about even.

dont think they gain that much with a tune. I recon you could still beat him. I raced a stock m3 dct with my non p31 2012 c63 and i beat him by about 4 car lengths from a dig to 100mph (i just stopped since there was no point)

What mode were u in man and how did u launch ur car? I was trying to race with my bro's m3 dct from dig to 60. and we were pretty close. I wann beat him more

I think the key is to 100 mph. The 63 mainly because of the rear tires issue lacks the grip it needs to hand it to the M3 to 60. Mine is "S" does much beter than any other mode in all situations. Just learn how to "roll" the throttle. Same with my C55.

its about even. i was even with a sedan m3 tuned back when my car was stock. after my tune i beat him about 2-3 car lengths with a powerchip tune. i also raced an e93 m3 with a tune and exhaust. i was about half-a car length ahead with my r8 which has 430hp

I had a run with a MT M3 that had an exhaust (stock headers), intake and tune. we only did roll ons, but I walked him, easy. mine's stock.
