How often do you top up on oil

I know there's a bunch of posts out there that comment on this topic, but there's so many different responses on a number of different threads. Thought it would be nice to see some new responses now that most 2012 owners have had their rides for close to a year in varying climates (and driving styles).

How do you drive your C63 and how often you do you find you need to top up your oil?

Mine likes to run 0.5mm over the last red marker...If I fill it up more it just consumes it over a few weeks..

Funny I just had to add two quarts today. Had the car for about a month now. 2,000 miles I think?

I got a low engine oil level light yesterday. Still haven't put anything in but have some 0-40 ready anyway. However, since yesterday the light hasn't come on again... Only had the car 3 months.

Did you check the level? Mine was on the lower red marker when my light came on. Mine came on just once also.

My warning light came on for the 1st time last week. Had it since Oct last year and covered 5500km. Topped up by dealer.

Only time I fill up is when I get the "Check oil at next refueling" message.

2k sounds about right IIRC. I was about the same during my more spirited days. I wanna say 3-4k now taking it a little easier. A lot of highway driving though. I know for a fact I top off with a bottle or so a few times between my services, it would have to be at least 3-4k.

Added a quart when my light came on after about 7k miles.

engine was low on oil (message appeared) after 3000 miles...but now it hasnt dropped below the mark since break in was completed (and I drive the car pretty hard, daily)
