I'm hoping it's easy to do.

Need to clean my exhaust tips and I find it really hard to do with the diffuser on there.

Pretty easy. Easier still with a lift. Two screws near the ends securing the diffuser and two near the middle securing two braces that hold the diffuser. There are tabs along the top side you pop to completely detach the diffuser. Starting from one side and work your way to the other. Install back in reverse.

it is possible to clean it very good without removing the diffuser . that sounds a bit extreme like pulling the motor out to change the oil
