2012 C63 Coupe
Wheel fitment question
Background: I have a coupe that I got with the 19" multi spoke wheels. It came with the free winter wheel package which are 18" five spoke wheels (pic attached).
Problem: My friend has an '04 CLK 500 Convertible and wants to buy the 18" 5 spokes off me. When we went into the MB dealership, the parts guy said the bolt pattern is the same, but the bolt sizes are different (our c63 bolts are shorter and fatter than the bolts for his CLK).
Question: Has anyone come across this before and is there a work around so my AMG wheels can be mounted on my buddy's CLK?

For practical reasons I think you are out of luck trying to fit C63 wheels on an '04 CLK 500.
Lug bolt sizes:
AMG C63 = M14 x 1.5 x 27mm
CLK 500 = M12 x 1.5 x 40mm
In order to fit the wheels on the CLK you need to either increase the thread size on the CLK from M12 x 1.5 to M14 x 1.5 or sleeve the lug holes on the C63 wheels from M14 down to M12. Neither solution is easy or cost effective and if not done correctly safe.
