I bought a Harbor Freight 2.5 ton low profile floor jack and jack stands. I don't trust the crap that came with the car. With that being said, it's still better than nothing.

You shouldnt be using your "emergency" jack for normal maintenance tasks. Invest your money for the saftey of yourself, others and your vehicle on a good floor jack.

I had that jack pad tool from reverselogic and it works amazing, it is a perfect fit and this tool was used alot as I did wheel swaps for tracking and wheel swaps for winter as well.....in fact the fit was so snug that once I forgot the thing on the car and I was driving around for a day with it on, never came off thank goodness as this thing could have done some damage if it flew off. Anyway, I felt very confident and safe using that jack pad.

my wife bananas! :D
hockey puck to cushion
hockey stick as a clothes line to dry my microfibre cloths
hockey bag to hold a lot of my misc car stuff
havent found a use for my goalie mask yet tho.
to OP, dont use the little jack that comes with the car. It is only for emergencies like when you blow a tire and you're hours away from civilization.

The hockey puck is correct, with H Frt jacks. I use two 2,5 ton each side front and about 10-12" beams under the front wheels. The two rear jacks can be little, even a good scissors (sp) type. With that ht I can dolly around under the front. The car is not amenable to jack stands IMO. With this setup I do wheel change and brake bleed. Obviously do not get under with the jacks only or get peeled up.

Dark Knight, We do you a diservice with "hockey puck" ref. What I use is flat steel plate that just bridges the two steel knuckles at each jack point (about 4" x 2" ?) These plates just fit between the "ears" on the saddle of the jack and mate with the jack ing points. I have not been concerned with slipping or repositioning during use. I believe you could probably cut some from 3/4" plywood. I do have a level cement garage floor.

I use a Napa Professional 3 1/2 ton jack. I don't like the look of the lighter jacks.
I use Napa 4 ton stands for the C63 as they are just the right height. I use taller 5 ton stands under my truck.
