The Performance Studio Edition C63

Read about it here: The Performance Studio Edition C63

This one is only coming to Japan, but it's still one of the coolest factory built special editions for the C63 we've seen. Matte black paint, a performance boost and a custom interior make it unique. Also, it makes it expensive. Like nearly $200,000 expensive.

Read about it in the story above or jump to the gallery here. Do you think it's worth it?

Not bad of a price for Japan. A used ML usually goes for 3 to 6 million.

Indeed. In the US we're lucky; our cars are considerably cheaper than the rest of the world. Everywhere else suffers because of import tariffs; Japan heavily taxes non-domestic cars.

A Nissan GTR is the most affordable and bang for your buck option at around 160-170k new. A 997 Turbo is looking at ~400k. Top of the range TurboS Cab is 474k drive away (no options). So tick a couple of boxes and a Turbo will not get you much change from 500k.

Most expensive is probably a Phantom at around 1.1-1.2 million AUD. Which is near as 1.1/1.2million USD as well.

Yes. LCT is the best thing that ever happened to Australian car sales......

But, even without LCT prices are high. LCT on my C63 was ~29k, so even without LCT the car would be 160k.

I love (sarcastic) how MB does these little marketing gimmicks and "special" packages to get rid of some inventory or models that are at the end of the cycle to flush them out...

Not as bad as BMW though. There have been sooooooooooo many special edition E90/2 M3s, and regular 3s as well.
