So.. I'm at the gas station this weekend.. truck pulls up with a trailered Saturn Sky...

Many moons ago I was looking into purchasing a Sky or Pontiac Solstice.. and I am well aware of what can be done to them. When you see Mallet Racing logo on the rear (small, not obvious, but still there).. it is a good bet it will probably eat you for a minor snack.. doubly so when it is on a trailer and has a custom roll cage inside..

It could have been the lower end of the racing packages.. but I'm betting it was the Turbocharged LS7 (was definitely a manual), which if you believe the companies web page... puts out 900hp...

Yes, I'm sure it's a beast and can destroy MANY cars including ours but at the end of the day, it's a POS Saturn. I wouldn't be caught dead in one. I'd happily lose to a massively tuned STI or Evo - at least those things have trick diffs and a lot of engineering built into them which I can appreciate.

Yep gonna have to agree with the fellas on this one, the sky is a saturn and the c63 is a benz.. yeah the v8 saturn is faster but a c63 beats it in style, prestige, comfort, class, stereo - everything except track speed.

I will have to disagree a little, I actually liked the Solstice (same as the sky, different styling, but also can be modified by Mallet), and was looking at getting one years ago before I ended up with a 07 Camry Hybrid (don't ask.. my wife made me do it.. its a sore point... )

Fun little car, but cheaply made (both the sky and solstice) when I went to look at one in person, I had high hopes for it.. At the time, the SLK was a stinker too, rather ugly to me, and back then, SL was a lot of out of my price range (hell it still is)...

But while this one was trailored, I do not see why you could not use it as a daily driver, who knows where he was coming from, I know of a few people on this board who trailer their C63's when they go long distances...

Ooooo... A heavily modified Saturn! How are you even comparing?lol You can make any cheap car fast with money. GM's are ****! Had a 10' Tahoe that needed a full tear down at 2500 miles. If you are getting one at least make it a Vette.

Who would put that much money into a Saturn manufactured car? Aren't their cars made out of Rubbermaid trashcans? I'll pass, I like quality.

Technically, it is a rebadged Vauxhall or Opel (I forget which came first)..

Unlike other Saturns, at least on the outside, the Sky had metal panals.. the inside was still rubbermaid crap though.

And yes.. I know that with enough money, anything can be made fast or nice..

However, Saturn or not.. I thought it was a nicely modded vehicle... (which probably cost more to modify then a new C63 would cost.. not sure, did not really do much more research into it).
