MBH Hand Made in the USA
I've been meaning show you guys some pics from around the shop, but really didn't have much time. So today as I was on the shop floor and not behind a computer, on the phone, or running around town. I was able to snap some quick pics of some fabrication we do to bring a 63 header and mid-section w/ Xpipe to life.
With so much stuff being imported from over seas that can be hit or miss. We are proud to show you guys that we do infact make everything in house here in the USA. Nothing real special about these pics, but I though I would share them with you.

Shouldn't the merge collectors be a mandrel bend insted of cutting at an angle to mate to the primary tubing. I like the burns collectors.
http://www.burnsstainless.com/mergecollectors.aspx
Also the mating of the primaries does not appear to be straight cut either and are used as joints/bends, or is it just the photos?

All merge collectors are tubing cut at angles. Burn's makes good stuff. However for the price of their merge collector and you only get 18 gauge steel.
You will like the Burn collector, until you feel how thin the steel is. A lot of people in the racing community use slip fit collectors. However, these cars (C63's) are not race cars. You do not tear the engine down, pull the exhaust off all the time. That sort of thing. Every slip fit collector is going to have some degree of leaking. Now with a very sensitive o2 system in a Mercedes, any leaking could cause check engine lights, loss of power, fueling issues and some of the things.
If Burn's was not making their collectors to be slip fit, they would probably have an interpretation much like ours. As you see with the Burn's collector the only real difference is the slip fit tubing on the collector. So if their collectors where intended to be welding on, you would have no need for the extra tubing that the primaries slide into.

For the collector I mean shouldn't it be a 15degree bend pipe that is cut straight? Instead of doing a 15 degree cut to the collector? The transition is not smooth otherwise.
Lots of people can weld the slip fit onto the primaries and Burns is offered in 16g steel as well.
