What's up guys just wanted to drop in and introduce myself here. I recently purchased a 2009 C63 fully loaded with P30 and I'm looking forward to becoming a part of this forum.

Thanks for all the welcomes!
Sid, I assume you mean the car has 38k miles right? The car was bought a month ago for 41k with 32,000 miles on it. Dealer had it listed for 50k. Whatever you do don't believe the blue book price which told me the car is worth about what the dealer was asking. I just worked out some calculations for how much the dealer made during the lease at 1,200 a month and subtracted that and a bit more from that to get my price. Honestly I think they would have sold it to me for 40k if I persisted. It really depends on location and the supply and demand in your region. you gotta just shop around and make sure that the dealer knows that and use that to your advantage. Mine was CPO so its got the extended warranty and dealer was kind enough to put new tires, brake pads, and change the oil for me before delivery.
NellyRod- Yes it's my first AMG and this thing is definitely an upgrade in terms of power and comfort over my previous car. It's truly an awesome machine and is solidly built like mercedes should be. Kinda reminds me of my RC-51 with all the torque of a v-twin and the unique v-twin exhaust sound like the ducati you have.
Fung63-Late night spins are well worth it and I definitely drive it the way it was designed to be driven if the conditions are right you know to clear out the carbon deposits.

Here are some of the pictures. Most are from this morning's cars and coffee and credit goes to VMX128 for 2 of the photos below as I got them from https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post5263389 this thread here.

JCH-thanks. I lived in RB for awhile before moving to SM but I work in Oceanside so maybe we'll see each other on the freeway sometime.

how long was your negotiation process? did you basically just offer them $41k as a take-it-or-leave-it type thing?

Maximus- I believe you should be able to get a similar if not better deal considering LA probably has more inventory of C63 than SD and it's not like everyone's out trying to buy a gas guzzling, tire burning monster. Basically the longer the car sits on the lot, the more the dealer will likely be willing to negotiate. The fact that it's not CPO means you should try to negotiate an extended warranty from Mercedes (not 3rd party) into the deal when closing. It might not be possible if they are not a Mercedes dealership which means you would have to visit a mercedes dealership and pay an additional inspection fee. I remember the finance person offering me an extra 3 years or up to 120,000 miles for like 3k I think.
Negotiations were fairly easy. I test drove the car, went home did some research on pricing on craigslist, ebay, autotrader, and dealership websites. Went back the next day to test drive again and talk about possibly buying. offered 40k initially and was instantly told it wasn't possible by the salesman so brought in his manager and basically worked out the math for him and explained the fact that it was a fair offer and told him that I had alternatives like M3 and other C63. We ended up compromising at 41k because it was the middle of my offer and his offer but I had them throw in some extras like the tires, brakes, cabin filter, and engine oil change. All in all it took about 3-4 hours from walking in to walking out.
Duane- For sure. Palomar and Mulholland are still on my list of roads to drive in this car. Just gotta wear down the terrible stock Pirellis and put on some Michelin supersports.

I sometimes do get carried away and trying me best not to make a hasty decision.

That's exactly what I got a few months ago. Mine had 27K miles. Looking at others here, it seems I overpaid a bit, but I'm happy with the car. You'll keep finding excuses to go for a drive.
Enjoy!

sid- The numbers are definitely good to have when it comes to negotiation but every dealer is different. Don't be afraid to walk out because that car will sit and the dealer may very will call you back and invite you back for another visit. My car sat for over 6 month before I bought it so the dealer was definitely willing to deal because the longer it sits the more it depreciates.
Deeoh- Yeah I bought it from Hoehn in carlsbad. Definitely enjoying the power and the sound of that massive V8. Maybe we'll see each other next time at cars and coffee.

thanks for the info. i called the local mb dealership here and they said i could get MB ext warranty (i gave them the VIN), but that the 3yr would be either 75k miles ($3505) or 100k miles ($4475). i know prices vary by dealership, but i wonder why they didnt offer me the 120k miles? and i assume the mileage cap is total miles, not miles in addition to the 50K from the original warranty?
