So i was driving on the autobahn through germany and somehow got the idea that i would see how fast the car goes. I have the performance package which should lift the limit to 280. However, my speedometer stopped at 260, as did the acceleration. What up?

Other than that the car was a dream to drive. A little drama when a van was about to drive into me from the right lane but luckily nothing happened. I've understood that crashes with 200+ kph usually end badly.

Tomorrow i'm leaving Munich and keep driving to northern italy through Lichtenstein and the Swiss alps. Should be a scenic route

Nobody with similar experiences? Would be nice to know if they forgot something at the factory. My ML 63 was not "vmaxed" and it went to 260 as well so seems kind of weird..

Perf Pack does not raise your speedlimiter. For that you have to buy the Drivers Package which costs another 1'000'000 Euros

I just went to my dealer and said I want them to remove my limiter and they did - I ran 300km/h and the speedo stopped completely so now I think they raised my limiter to 300 but thats fine with me.

Crap, right you are. I thought it was included in the performance package (stupid me?). Have to take a trip to a dealer. How long did it take?

I'm not sure if they will do it for you but looking at the list of MBs and AMGs you've owned they just might.

It took a few minutes - they did it while they were doing my Service B at 40.000km.
