advise please...confused!!

hi
Looking for a luxury car - doesn't matter whether its a sedan or coupe.
It is going to be my daily car and we get a lot of snow here in the winter..

I've driven pretty much every car thats out there so far except the Audi S5..

So far i've narrowed it down to the 3 - they're totally 3 differnet cars.
E350 coupe 4 matic, 535xi and C63 AMG

E350 coupe - really like the sleek looks and wife thinks its really a head turner on the road. The drive is not bad either

535xi - really like the drive and the steering feel, interiors aren't as good as the MB.

C63 - what can i say?? awesome power and drive..
But can i drive this in the winter? most of what i read was to park it in the garage in winter (which is not what i want) I'm also tempted to do this and keep my existing car for winter.

Payments are pretty much the same for all of them (C63 is a more by about 100 a month which isn't an issue)

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Anyone who's driving the C63 in canada and their experience in winter?

The C63 is fine in the winter with dedicated snow tires. Two winters with mine and I've never had a problem.

i'm doing this this winter. i say it every winter but this time i will do it, haha. you and me have the same winters so there's no excuse really.

i absolutely HATE checking the weather 5 times a day during the winter to see if I can take my car or not, have to leave wherever i am early or not, etc.. i'm not saying i'll take the c63 out in a blizzard but i'd like to not get stuck in a couple of inches.. i mean the highways are usually always clear unless it's blizzarding, just the side streets I need to worry about.

whats your opinion about comparing the C63 with the other 2?
Considering the payments are within 100 bucks each? C63 hands down??

That's exactly my concern. We get a lof of snow here in western canada. I'm worried whether i can even get stuck in my driveway when i have 3/4 inches of snow.

what is everyone's experience in driving it on roads that're covered with snow?

Prior to my C63 I owned an E350 4matic and it was a great every day and bad weather car. The interior was elegant and roomy. The ride was comfy. A very nice luxury vehicle.

The C63 is a different animal, the interior is not as nice, the ride can be a little harsh at times but the instant gratification every time you start it up or press the gas pedal is what did it for me.

If you keep your existing car than the C63 is a no brainer. It can be driven in the snow with the proper tires. A C63 can be a very docile street car when you want it to be.

I have no experience with the 535.

For a daily driver with a lot of snow I'd recommend a 4matic or the X drive. You can also look at the A7- quattro. Looks as well as power (relative to the 350 4 matic).

Audi
Wait until the fall and get the new audi s6. 4L twinturbo, comparable to the c63 in terms of performance, great interior and exterior, and is unmatched in the snow (IMO).

thought about it - in canada, they're already taking orders on this. but i cannot test drive one till oct apparently. They claim some dealerships might never have test drives for these as they're very limited for every dealership

I'm taking the S5 for a test drive tomorrow though..

More confusion!!

S5 ... AWD Plus the nicest interior and best driver position of the selection

Edit: and the coupe is the sexyest of them all.

How aboutE550 4Matic?

Have you thought about the E550 4Matic? You can't get it in a coupe, but the interior is very nice and the engine will get you alot closer to the C63 feel than the E350.

We both don't like the eclass exterior - its too traditional for us . Drove the 550. Nice drive - but the style is not for us

Test drive of S5 coupe tomorrow..

'13 Audi RS5
My wife had a E350 coupe and it is head turner but the power is weak and the transmission is sluggish. I didn't like driving it at all.

I had a BMW 550 Xi with a Dinan tune - good power but too soft even in sport +. Wasn't very good in the snow with all season tires - needed dedicated snow tires. Car feels big.

I've had two C63's and driven them both in the winter with snow tires mounted. No problems at all and by far the best out fo these 4 cars.

I woudl highly recommend the C63.

Porsche 911 Turbo S 2014! E63S 14, Audi S8 13, CLS63 12, E550 12, C63 09, all tuned
Here is a solution. Buy a 2013 E550 4 matic, biturbo. Do a ECU tune to 530hp, 525 TQ and you have a 4 wheel drive luxury car, that is a Stealt AMG.

If you're going that direction then the CLS550 with 4Matic is a way better car than the S6 and will walk on it all day long in every situation

Luxury and C63 don't fit together very well in the same sentence. If you really want luxury, worry about snow and don't have to have a coupe, just get a nice E350 4Matic
