i've thought about this for a while, just to get more coverage in blocking the sun... either a black banner across the top of the windshield or use tint...

but i'm wondering if this will cause disruptions with anything of the sensors on the top portion of the windshield... i'm not sure what they are though...

any thoughts?

hello Jay,

i had the windshield replaced on that old silver c63 you saw and the tech that replaced it said that one of those sensors jobs was for detecting water for the auto windshield wipers. Ive never put much thought into it so I guess I just took his word for it.

Idk about the sensors but the banner will have a claustrophobic effect inside the car. My friend had one in his 911 and it's very annoying.

it will block off the daytime running light sensor thus making it to turn on full beam light. Basically no more day time running light function.

the auto windshield isn't that big of a deal if that's the only one

it's just a sticker so it can be removed if i find it annoying...

i don't have the daytime running lights enabled on my car... so during the day the lights are off... but at night they automatically turn on..

so does this mean that with it covered, it's going to stay on all the time because it thinks it's night time?
