Bluetooth audio for <MY10
hey all, I've done a quick search, but I couldn't find anything..
Apparently it's possible to upgrade the software in the Command unit to make pre MY10 Bluetooth audio capable.
Anyone got any info on this?

I use one of these.. http://store.shopblackberry.com/Prod.../ACC-41596-001 (the one i use is actually the older version, it might be cheaper now that this new one is out)
Connects to the aux in of your car (may be hidden, mine was). It works alongside the MB phone BT with zero issues.. Automatically connects to my phone when i start up the car and all that good stuff. The only thing is it does NOT work if the car is off (it needs to be powered, i use a dual usb port charged in the glovebox) if that matters to you. This part takes some getting used to at first, you learn to not turn the car off all the way if you want the engine off but still want to listen to music.
Don't let the name fool you, I have a blackberry but it worked fine on my old android phone. Anything with the proper BT profiles should work..

just installed a blackberry bluetooth gateway in my 09. works perfectly with my iphone 5 for streaming music. only drawback is you have to unplug the ipod when using (it's either/or).

Pretty much flawless. Between that, the sd cards and 6 dvds of mp3's you could take the entire internet on the road.
EDIT: Except if my stereo is on this works. I have a usb lighter plug in the glove box too. Strange.
BTW I just switched from iPhone to a Nexus 4 (hey I was bored) and Im working on a wireless charging setup discretely installed in the car.
I'll post up when Im done.

I'm using this in my 09. Allows me to skip tracks with the steering wheel controls.

If you have a bluetooth audio capable device with Pandora on it, then yes you can stream it from that via the ipod integration.

Well, come on over to my house cos all I have is an aux jack in the glovie. I have everything else possible on that car including P30, carbon fibre interior and the back seat comfort package - but not that.
