I know it's been discussed but...

Do 265/35 R 18's rub on the rear on the standard 18's? I'm ready to make the jump from the 255's but need more confirmation from all of you!

Your advice is greatly appreciated!

Doubt it.

1. I'm running 285/25/20 in the rear and I'm getting minimal rubbing now that my H&R coilovers are adjusted.

2. Depending on the sidewall design of the tire, you could go 285+ in the rear depending on how you have your suspension set up and the size of your rims.

I'm going to say you will be fine. I'm 265/30-19 which should fit identically to a 265/35-18 and I get no rubbing. Offsets and wheel widths are the same on the 19" and 18" options. I bet you can run a 275 and be OK other than the sidewall will look like a freak'in balloon. That is one benefit of 19" wheels... you can go wider and the sidewall of the tire doesn't start to look as bulgy in comparison to what an 18" wheel looks like.

After I had the front raised 1/4" and the rear raised 1/2", it's not that bad anymore.

How bad is the ride quality running 20" wheels with such low profile tires? Is this your daily driver?

Well, it is a bit stiff on low profile tires with H&R coilovers, but if certain roads were so crappy, it would be much more manageable. This is my DD and for 90% of my driving, it's sweet. However, there are areas such as the Mission that are just brutal on any car, but even more so in this car. Just the other day, I managed to miss a section of road dug out but not marked or filled in. It almost swallowed the motorcyclist behind me. I probably would've been filing a claim with the city for new rims and another front lip.

^^ dang, are roads that bad in NorCal? Lol I've been to San Fran and the roads looked nice, just very hilly.

Didn't u just replaced 2 bent wheels? If u would have to do it all over again, would u go down to 19's?

Not yet. I'm still waiting for my claim to process. Down to 19s? Not sure. I really like the look of the 20s.

I know that no one is going to agree with me, but if you're getting Pilot Super Sports, I would NOT get 265's. Stick to 255's. The 265 sidewall is bigger and in my opinion, ugly as hell. On top of that, the difference in width is totally negligible. Here's a 265 and 255 next to each other. The 255 is the clean tire...both unmounted.

I got 265's....drove on them for 1 day, and then took them off and put on 255's instead because I couldn't stand the look. I've been on the 255's for a few weeks now and couldn't be happier.
