Do any of you use this for your car??
I saw a guy using this on his Audi S4 and thought it was really cool!

Its an app for your smartphone that tells you information about your car based on inputs it gathers using an OBD II Bluetooth adapter to connect to your OBD2 engine management / ECU.
Is it difficult to install the OBD Sensor? Is there a particular one for our cars?
Thanks guys!

Wow, $142 for a bluetooth OBDII scanner!?
I just bought one for $18 shipped from Amazon.com. It works perfectly with the Torque App on my Android phone. I am pretty sure it will also work with the iphone app.
You can buy it here:

Appearently the iphone app doesnt connect to bluetooth... which is why the kiwi wifi is needed. The kiwi 2 is so expensive bcause its brand new (first ones ship in September) and has features such as auto shur off and such.... I dont know what to do. Im split.

Just make sure you buy a tablet or mp3 player with built in Bluetooth. Samsung makes some pretty good Android based MP3 players with Bluetooth, but they are to super cheap ($180-190 on Amazon).

PLX has Blue Tooth OBD2 port adaptor also. The problem with this app on a phone is the screen is too small to be of any pratical use. I tried a windshield mount and the thing shook so much you couldn't read it while moving. If you can find a place to mount a cheap android table with blue tooth, you can get a display you can read while driving.

I have tried this in my other cars. Haven't tried it on my C63 yet, but I am planning on doing it soon. I'll let you know if it works.

My OBDII set-up.
I installed an Innovate motorsports OBDII Open Tune WIFI interface.
Model OT-2. Works perfect. www.tuneyourengine.com
Running DashCmd (app store). On my iPad for big display.
Using http://www.rammount.com/CatalogResul...5/Default.aspx
iPad mounted in center console cup holder.
Super happy!
Pm me if you need pics or vid.

does it obstruct the shifter at all? i have 2 tablets now that i picked up a n7 and wouldn't mind repurposing one for the car as long as it doesn't look ****ty and can easily be removed/hidden if needed.

So I finally purchased the OBD Sensor and after a little messing around with the wifi connectivity got it to sync up perfectly with my Iphone5. Im using the Dash Command app and was wondering if some of you could help me fill in the advanced settings tab as best as possible. Here are some pictures of the information needed to be filled out... thanks!

There re many apps to use with a phone/tablet and the sensor, however I am using Dash Command (I know its not REV like in my initial post. I went with Dash Command because it has better reviews and updates are still being released)
Here is the site which explains what it shows:

I like the set up using the Ipad as it's large enough to actually read while your driving. It would be even more interesting if any of the aftermarket electronic wizards could figure out a way to get your android/iphone screen displayed on the car's navi screen. I've seen a few cars with aftermarket double units that have this solution figured out. Just for fun I took a spare HTC andriod and paired it with a PLX blue tooth at the OBD 2 port then mounted to one of the center air vents. It's not the slickest installation but you can read it (with only a few parameters displayed) and still keep an eye on the road.
