In light of that Cor thread and the fact that my poor HREs "found" another pothole recently (compliments of the city of SF and the DPW), I thought I'd resurrect this thread.
I have had the unfortunate luck of having to work with HRE about 3 times since I've owned this car. I love the car and I love the wheels so I'm not changing anything...regardless of what people say about 19" wheels etc.
Having never formerly owned a car that was worthy of performance wheels and having never had to deal with a wheel company before, I had no idea what to expect. However, what I got from Vince and his team was top notch service and response.
1. HRE analyzed the dents in my wheels after the first incident without charging me for the inspection. Super cool considering I had no idea of what any of the potential costs could be.
2. Vince repaired 2 rims that were scratched due to road debris/pothole rash and returned them quickly at a fairly low cost...certainly on par with what a local shop would have charged, but no one will do a better job than the original manufacturer.
3. I have one rim out to HRE for repair (see the other thread about SF potholes) and because it's taking so long due to the SEMA auto show, I'm getting a heavily discounted repair rate. I totally forgot that SEMA was moved up this year and that my pothole incident would make it difficult for HRE to squeeze me in due to the unique color and low demand for that color. However, Vince is doing everything in his power to make sure I get my wheel back by Thursday. I know I'm probably getting on their case cause I'm a little impatient, but I sincerely appreciate the fact that they're taking care of lil' ol' me during what's probably the busiest time of year for them.
Thanks again, fellas. Keep up the good work

Your more than empowered to get on our case. We respect our customers time.
And yes Vince will do everything he can do get you back your wheels in a timely matter.
SEMA is the one time of year that draws a lot of our facilities time A lot of show cars and a lot of our own show preparation.

When I get tired of the roads, I might consider 19". But since that will requires a whole set of rims and tires, I'll keep that on the back-burner.

Since we're on the subject of SEMA (apologize for CoolBD for the hijack) did you guys have a both last year or the year before? Thought my friend said that you guys we're doing the showcase inside your hotel room at The Wynn? Is this the case for this year or will you have a floor both?

Our booth number is 22359, next door to Ford in the Central/Performance Hall. Since we are a performance driven hall, we have moved from the Tire Hall and moved to the Performance Hall.
Hope you guys all drop by our booth, I think you will see a lot of new exciting products. We launched the new Series S1, but we have a lot more to show you at SEMA.

Almost forgot to reply to this...I did end up getting my insurance to spring for two new rims...they should arrive this week. Since I'll be getting my other rim back tomorrow, I think I'll just ride these rims out and keep the new ones as spares. Thinking about doing something like this for temporary storage...

Well, I technically HAVE to integrate them into my decor somehow
My storage cage in the condo is filled up to the ceiling with boxes and other crap and so are all the closets in my place. Plus, we don't have proper nightstands in the bedroom so I think Mark, my body shop guy of infinite kindness and connections, is getting some 24" glass cut to make matching nightstands!
