Coupe Subwoofer Installation
Hey everyone,
I will be getting my C63 coupe either tomorrow or Tuesday so I thought I'd finally sign up and start posting here on the forums
.
After hearing some of the reviews on the lack of bass in the stock HK system the first thing that came to mind was a subwoofer installation. I actually just read today that the battery is in the back so that would make things much easier. Is it easy to take off the headunit to run the signal/remote turn-on wires for the amp? I would take it to BestBuy or somewhere to install but I don't really trust them with a brand new car. Unless someone can recommend a reliable shop in NJ I think i'll probably be doing it myself.
On a side note, would a single ported 12 inch W7 fit in the rear? Or would I have to go with 10in or another sub? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
