0-60 time in 2010 c63 and ticking noise

Ok so today I was messing around with my car, and I attempted doing a few 0-60, I got 6.2 seconds in a 2010 C63 amg, I know it's supposed to be like 4.2 right? So what am I doing wrong, I tried it on S and M mode, full throttle with traction on sport and with traction off, is there launch control?, and it's like my engine lags at 3k rpm and then just goes crazy all of a sudden, am I doing something wrong, does my car have a problem? And my engine or transmission makes a weird sound at around 5000-6500 rpm
Like a ticking sound, also when I give it some gas in reverse while backing up it makes the same weird and loud ticking sound is my transmission messed up or I just don't know now to properly floor it to get a normal 0-60 time,

I had my car for 3 or 4 weeks so yea I do t know if that ticking sound is normal or not but I do know a 6.2 time for a 0-60 on a c63 is not, it should be a 4.2 or 4.3 is that right? Thanks plus I bought the car with almost 21,000 miles 1 owner car if that matters

the times given by mercedes are professionally done. if you wanna replicate them, your best bet is to take traction control off fully, brake with the left foot, and just give a little bit of gas, then remove your left **** off the brake, and feather the accelerator pedal to make sure you don't drift at all. Do it in manual mood and make sure you shift at redline. With that method (considering i have mods, and 275 rear tires that grip reealll well) i got 3.6's and 3.7's .. takes practice

Sometimes with all that power and not a whole lot of tires, you don't just jab the throttle or go WOT, you roll into it. The car need to hook up. Wheel spin just adds to the time. Excessive wheelspin will lead to 6+ time for 0-60

Also how are you measuring the time?

Agree with what everyone else has said - you have to break torque the car. I usually launch between 1100-1500 RPM, roll into until the tires hook then floor it. I'm averaging 3.8-3.9 seconds in my tuned C63 (never timed my car stock.)

What tires are you running? Tires play a huge roll in 0-60 times on the C63 as better tires help control the torque and wheel spin. Poor tires need very skilled driver inputs and even then won't deliver the same result. You should be able to replicate 4.0 to 4.2 easily though. I am able to get this very consistently with only mashing the gas pedal (no brake torque) with the car in S+ and in sport mode. To get under 4 seconds does take some technique but, IMO, 4.0-4.2 is replicable all day long. If you can't it is either tires or something wrong and the car isn't delivering the right level of power.

I definitely agree with the techniques mentioned above. To get your best time you definitely want to hold your left foot on the brake all the way down and push the engine to around 1500 RPM. Then as you let go of the brake quickly, push the gas half way down and as the car hooks you want to push the gas all the way down until you feel the kickdown button. Using this method and on stock tires, I can consistently get low to mid 4 second runs to 60 from a standstill.

What mode your car is in is really up to you but pick between S or M. I normally use S because it shifts automatically and it requires some practice to get the timing just right in M mode to really get the perfectly timed shift due to the delay between actually pulling the paddle to the transmission actually shifting. The most important thing is the tire and the road surface you are on. You can also lower the back tire pressures to under 30 to really help limit the wheel spin.
