Angry hit by a golf ball..

can i just rant?
i'm sooo pissed off .. car was hit by a golf ball while my wife was pulling out from the garage.. the worse is that it hit the roof (or the beam/column in the side of the roof on the rear-right passenger side/next to the roof rail) and i the painless dent guys that i go to wouldn't be able to fix this (they said usually if its in the roof, they need to take out the headliner so they can 'massage' the dent from the inside). just pisses me off every time i see it or even think about it.

i just sent out a letter to our HOA about this.. not expecting anything.. i was able to recover the golf ball - neon yellow!! aarrghh

Not true , I had something like this happen to me on a different car and my dent guy took it out by using a glue gun and some type of suction cups. When the dent was removed he cleaned up the glue and it looked perfect. Go to a different guy

Golf course or not, you HOA should have some sort of safeguards against the course strays, or at least insurance for this kind of thing.

it's in the roof rail column :-(
been spending time watching those youtube videos.. i actually bought a dust spray can and thinking about heating it up with a heater gun and see what happens.. i'm just worried that heating it up will mess up the paint.. i'll probably ask around and check with other paintless dent removal folks and see their opinion on this.

ouch that sucks man.

One reason why as much as I like golf, I wont live close to a course. broken windows and other damaged items and no one around to take responsibility

100% CORRECT.
Wifeys Astra had hail damage....all over, but also in the A pillar & in the roof where yours is.....I didn't think he'd get 'em out...but no worries.....wouldn't tell me how he did it!!......but it's with some kind of suction device & glue......so yep, find a guy that can do this stuff and you'll be right.
Cheers, Pickles.

Sorry to hear this. But guess its the risk homeowner's take when living on/near a golf community. I'm sure in the HOA there is a clause about liability and risk involved with golf related incidents. Hope you can get that dent fixed.

That dent CAN be pulled via PDR. Sad part is that in order to get it out you will need to drill the pillar to get the tool there. So if u can live with a black cap / plug the size of a dime or smaller ( on the inside of the pillar/ not visible ) then It can be done.

The paintless dent guy that I use will go with the tradtional tools or the GLUE, and suction cups.
Reach out to another paintless dent guy, not all of them use the glue.
I work at a golf club - Some years it's out of control how many cars get hit other years 1 or 2?

and to OP, sorry to hear about the situation. Shouldn't the golf course do something about it as well?
