LSD never had oil changed!?
Hey guys, I'm from Vancouver BC Canada
I picked up a 2009 c63 with p30 performance package about a month ago.
Today I went in to pick up the car from a minor service (MB dealership) and just from curiosity I asked how often should the LSD oil be changed? service advisor never gave an exact answer but went ahead and checked when was the the last time it was changed. Turns out that the car never had a single LSD oil change since it was new. The car now has 45000km. To be honest, I thought this was quite ridiculous. any opinions from all of you C63 professionals?
Should I be making any complaints? As of now I have the car scheduled for Monday to have the LSD oil changed.
Thanks in advance!

The factory LSD uses wet clutch packs which deposit wear material in the diff fluid just like automatic trannies do. It should be serviced at least as often as MBZ recommends if not more.

I was told my warranty would be void if I didn't have the LSD oil changed at 2000km.
The dealer called me after I bought it to schedule an appointment.
Someone dropped the ball.

I bought it from the dealership. And as a certified Mercedes, they said everything had been gone through and guaranteed to give me the car
in its best condition.
but I keep finding more and more flaws within the car
this is one Of the main reason that I think I should be making some sort of complaints since they failed to do what they promised to their customer.
Bought the car for a month. went in for service 3 times =(

If you bought the car as a CPO then the dealer owes you the differential service at no charge as a CPO is guaranteed to be totally up to date in all service requirements.
Even if the dealer only certified the car for you then I think they still owe you for the service for good will.
The cost of the service should only be $120 - $150 if you ask me. The differential capacity is 1.2L @ $23.75 per 500ml = 2.4 X $23.75 = $57.00 or $71.25 if they charge you for 3 - 500ml bottles. The service is 1/2 hour at the most so @$150.00 per hour = $75.00. So $146.25 for the service plus any tax.
$350 for the differential fluid change is a total rip off!!~!!

I think you are correct there Mort.
I basically think that I've been ripped off real bad. For a car that is in such a poor condition, I got ripped off real bad for paying their asking price. They even said "Certified Pre-Owned" means everything had been gone through and the car is in top notch shape therefore we can't even lower $1 for you.
This LSD is just one of the problems, others are warped rims, A/C not working screeching mirrors, airbag malfunction and a whole bunch more.
Im so sick and tired of their irresponsible service and the endless problems with this car, I don't even want this car anymore.
Any chance that I might be able to return the car?
