I'm new here!
Well, been a member of this board for a while. Used to own a 2008 GL450. It was fun while it lasted, but my growing family required a minivan. So we got a swaggerwagon aka Sienna SE.
Then my wife got depressed. I drove a 2008 STI (my toy) that she didn't know how to drive (doesn't drive manual), and she was stuck with a minivan.
So we decided to sell the STI and get something we'd both enjoy. I originally had ordered a 2013 BMW 335i sedan m sport package, but production delays led me to seek other options...
Found a lightly used c63 in the exact color combo we loved, but it was in Charlotte. Thanks to the many board members that gave me advice on the car.
Anyway, I flew down yesterday and drove it up 11 hours back to northern NJ. Registered it and inspected it today.
I already put the front plate bracket on (MB OEM) but decided to zip tie them to the front lower grill instead of drilling holes. I also swapped out the orange fender reflector lights for the smoked depo ones with chrome coated orange bulbs.
Anyway, I LOVE THIS CAR~!!!
I put painters tape over the front before I started my 660mi drive.
I almost gave my wife a heart attach with this picture. I thought it was really funny. This was actually a truck being towed by another semi (so it was going backwards). But the picture looks like it's coming straight at me!!
Here's just a quick shot after I put on the plates and swapped the lights.

Hahahha congrats, looks hot! I just got home from NYC (1300miles drive). I went sunday to visit and came back tuesday... almost $800 in gas... lol
And I hated virginia, you probably know why, but I did quite good, I only got pulled over once in Georgia on my way back home. The cop was using a K frequency that I disabled on my RD!

That's quite a drive. I was averaging 21mpg on my drive btw. obviously didn't drive aggressively. Is the trip computer just trying to make me feel good or is this accurate?

Congrats! About the truck being towed so it looks like it's coming at you...I dated a girl in hs and she was on some sort of trip with her sister. Her sis was napping and she came upon a scene like this. So she pulled up kind of close and screamed to wake up her sister. The formerly sleeping girl was freaking out...apparently it was hilarious.

That picture was hilarious. I actually freaked seeing it without reading the punchline.
Great car and enjoy it thoroughly.
BTW, the best I've gotten in my car was a trip from Laguna Beach to Santa Barbara and it was 20mpg. Normally I get 9-12 mpg depending if I am having a good time or a really good time.

least painful way (from another forum member's suggestion) is to use the cig lighter outlet in the glove box. i have my unit suction cupped to the windscreen on the left side of the mirror and the remote unit on the left side of the instrument cluster. i routed the wires through the ipod interface grommet and sent the wire for the remote display through the tube that spans the entire dash, and then sent the other wire up the passenger pillar and through the overhead light assembly (bc the wire isnt long enough to go the other way around).
