B2187 check engine code

Can anyone tell me what this code is. I took the car to this auto service dealership down the road from my house and they hooked the car up and told me this is the code that was coming up.

That be the one. They guy who told me had a accent. He didn't charge me anything for it. Asked my SA at Mercedes and he told me it could be a knock sensor or cam sensor. Sound right?

I think I had the same code a few months ago but it went away by itself.
I read somewhere on the forum that one user had the same issue because of bad fuel quality.
Is that possible?

Usually the too lean is either a faulty vent from the gas tank or a leaky intake manifold gasket.

A cam or knock sensor doesn't sound right for this code.

+1

Also a vacuum or exhaust leak. Could be a faulty injector too.

Bank1 is the passenger side I believe.

Spoke with a Porsche SA and he told me it was more like an O2 sensor. Should find out shortly.

Ok just got off the phone with my SA at Mercedes. He told me it was a crank case exhaust valve....$540. One thing I forgot to mention was that it started making a noise in the engine. When i would shut the car off it sounded like a pulley or belt stressing. Weird. Fixing the exhaust hose also corrected that problem. Anyways off to pick up my baby.

Yep the check engine light. Funny thing is when it came on the car was running great. Then about 60 or 70 miles later it started making this faint sound then when I would shut it off it make a louder sound like a pulley going out. SA said the exhaust hose and noise were related. Just picked up the car and it running great.
