Winter Tire Clarification

Hi i just recently purchased a used 2009 c63 with factory 18" rims, i was wondering if 235/40/18 winter tires for all corner would work. Will the stretch be a lot in the rears? I live in Canada and the winters are really harsh so the narrower the better. I've done a couple of searches and read that a few of you do run this, but i just want extra clarification. Thanks!

Those tires will fit fine without stretching on the OEM 18x9 rear wheels, although Mercedes does recommend you go to a 18x8 wheel out back if you decide to use 235's all around. It's not an issue.

Welcome aboard! Where in Canada are you located? Calgary here.

Ya I run 235/40/18 on all 4 here in Montreal, yes it does have a little of that jdm stretch look in the back but no problem

Here's a pic of mine with the winters on, all stock back then...

I used Hankook Ice Bears. They're not really that great in the snow, but we get more Chinooks in Calgary than Edmonton, so we have less snow in the winter months than you guys. The Hankooks are awesome in dry cold roads though, can handle the power pretty good (although I went 235/255 staggered).

So in your case, I'd suggest something more "winter" like Blizzaks.
