Android/iOS on Screen

http://www.customgadz.com/store/

Ever since I got a Merc a couple of years ago, I've been looking for a way to improve the screen in our cars. The most I could find is a replacement monitor that cost $600 with separate nav-box and dvd-player box that needed to be installed and hidden somewhere.

Today I stumbled upon the link above. It seems if you get a touchscreen overlay and the product, it's easy to display your phone screen on the OEM screen and use apps from your OEM screen.

I'm very interested and trying to figure out what would be needed for this to happen.

Anyone seen any similar devices?

Very interesting. So the overlay goes over our screen and becomes touchscreen? How much does this cost?

They have been taking pre-orders for EVER. I've been watching them for a while although the option to add a touch screen film is new, previously they were just interfacing with stock touch screens.

I've seen overlays on the interweb for about $40-$50. You install in on top of the screen and cables hook into a usb controller that is then plugged into the HU...I believe. I haven't bought one because I wasn't sure how it all worked. In theory, it's easy (or they make it sound easy) to turn your screen into a touch screen and cheap.

Something like that.
