Jolt/Jerk in Accelerating 2012 C63
Problem 1: I got my 2012 C63 about a month ago now. Randomly, when I come to a complete stop and then start to accelerate very lightly on the pedal, the car just kind of jolts a little bit and then it starts to accelerate normally. It happens about every 1/5 times and it happens even when I'm in Comfort mode. It's very annoying, but it also happens to one of my friends who has a 2011 E63 but only in sport mode and not even as many times as it occurs to me in comfort mode.
Problem 2: I just went today (9/24/12) to drive my car and I noticed another problem. Whenever I start up my car and put it on drive and push down on the pedal very slightly, the car acts as if it is in neutral and revs and then it finally recognizes it's in drive and then just kicks into drive and gets going. It happened 10/10 times I turned off my car and then turned it back on. However when it is on and I go to park and back to drive it is perfectly normal. Is this happening to everyone and is this normal?
(not sure if it matters, but the engine was cold all times)
Does anyone know why it keeps doing this? I still have not completed my full breaking in period, I have 400 miles and I have been past 4500 rpm a good amount of times (I know I should stop.)

I drove mine like I stole it right out of the lot. So doubt that its because of how you're breaking it in. But I know the new gearbox has had some issues. Take it to mb and let them figure it out, shouldn't be having problems with a new car already.

Thank you very much, wow this sucks, I have just owned this car since August 30th, and to be honest this has been happening since I have bought it out of the lot. It had 33 miles on it, and I know the dealership that I bought it from has driven this car very hard. I also have driven it hard (used paddle shifters and going in high revs) and I think that could be the reason why this is happening. It was a very bad choice, but how much would it cost to repair, or would it be considered to be under warranty?

Sorry to hear about your problems. Maybe just drive the hell out of the car. I mean really stomp on that accelerator. The ECU / MCT has a memory and needs training.

Everytime I go fast, the problem seems like it's getting worse. I'm not really sure if it does, but that's my theory for what's been going on. Any other suggestions?

I dont think it is (or should be). I may be mistaken but someone mentioned on this forum in the past month that they got a software update and it fixed alot of problems.

I have a 2013 p31 and I only get this jerking once in awhile when I am in S+ and letting my foot off the brake, i.e. just starting to accelerate after being stuck at red light.
Never experienced it on comfort mode or at any other time when I am in S+ other than described above.

I don't think this is normal.

The issue with this topic is its subjective.... Jerky to you is different than to me. I had the first 12 C63 from my dealer with MCT, I traded in a older C63 with the normal transmission. I sent the MCT back after a week since it was "jerky" like you describe. It was very "un mercedes". As it was explained by having a clutch pack instead of high pressure fluid, you will be prone to having jerking at lower speeds as the clutches engage and disengage, but of course you get a performance increase from not having to waste power running a torque converted.
But if you think MCT is bad then I can 100% without a doubt say you never owned a BMW with SMG M3 or M5. This MCT is basically an advancement of SMG, a leap and bound ahead of the SMG as the iPhone 5 is to the original iPhone, but in terms of being on the technology level of the rest of the world moving to dual clutches, mercedes is in the stone age.
This car is not pure luxury car but its one that makes compromises of sporting and luxury. Its like buying a GT3 and saying its too loud and rough.

Oh okay that clears it up a lot for me. Do you know if I should be worried with this issue or would my car always be like that? Also how do I explain it to the dealership, by saying I think my multi clutch tranny is messed up and I get jolting/jerking at low speeds?

The problem is nothing is wrong.. Its just how it works. Go read on the BMW forums about the E46 M3 with SMG II, I owned one that was the worst semi-auto transmission, jerky at slow speeds and shifting. Then go read on the M5 SMG, improved SMG III is what they called it. Ferrari 360, 430 used auto clutches also, same issue jerky at slow speeds ect. Then everyone ditched the technology and went to dual clutches, yet Mercedes went back a step with the multi clutch packs.
