Swooshing/Rubbing sound from front wheels
Hey guys,
I keep hearing this swooshing rubbing sound coming from my front wheels when i drive at slow speeds. I only started noticing this sound after putting on my 19'' BBS wheels. The tires are almost new and don't have any thing stuck on them. I don't think it is rubbing in the front either. Anyone have any insight into what it might be? I haven't gotten a chance to really hear it from outside the car when someone else is driving it.
I really notice it when I leave the parking structure at work as I cruise down the parking lot and around the corners.
Thanks for any insight
Sam

The sound is getting worse, it has become a whine sound when i am driving on windy roads and turn the wheel left and right. The car is stock height and front wheels are 19x8.5 bbs ch-r et40 with Conti Contact 3 tires 235/35/19.
I am due for service A now and am thinking to ask the dealer to check it out but am worried they might say something about the rims. The sound is really loud at least with the windows open. Anyone have any ideas?

Your wheel and tire size seems fine.
Let the dealer check it out.
My guess is power steering.
You could check if the PS fluid is low.
Some other things to check;
Is the noise is only when turning (or going straight also)?
Does the noise stop (or change) if you lightly apply the brakes?
Keep us posted.
