Car feeling slugish
Hey guys. Need some advice/help
When i bought my 09 C63 6 months ago, it ran like a bat out of hell. The tires would spin/chirp when taking off all the time. Now a few months later i removed the charcoal filters and replaced the regular air filters with KN ones. Car still ran great. Now i recently replaced all 4 tires and for some reason when i stomp it and take off the tires wont chirp. And somehow the car feels a bit slugish like its lost some power. But it still runs great and fast. Not sure if im really used to it by now or what, but has anyone else experienced thsi as well? Also i was trying to find a replacement Charcoal filters and dealer doesnt sell them seperately (WTF) you have to order the top airbox lids in order to get another set.
So if anyone out there has a set they dont need or you would you mind selling it to me?

yes, and it all changed when i took it in for service !
also, having 4 passengers in the car as opposed to just you makes a HELL of a difference .. one more thing to note is that you might be getting more traction with the fresh rubber, and that sluggish feeling is u actually sticking to the ground, a difference i REALLY felt when i changed my rears from 255 to 275

If your new tires aren't as sticky as the old tires then your traction control may be taking over and cutting power.
Try turning the traction control completely off and see how it goes.

I'd say the same. You are probably just getting used to the power of your car and the new tires are probably helping you stick much better. Also are you starting in S mode when you floor it?

Usually M mode. With the traction off. Thats what i dont understand about it.. could be the stickier tires i guess. Because before i changed them they worn out pretty bad and the car would spin like a ****.

Nobody mentioned the most obvious and likely answer? It's all in OP's head? Maybe he's just getting used to the accelerations? Or he drove another car with faster acceleration and the c63 felt relatively slower? Or like some have mentioned, it's the new tires. New tires have better traction so it starts gripping from the get go versus the sudden traction of wore out tires. I felt the same way transitioning from a 600cc 4 cylinder bike to a 6-odd 3 cylinder bike. Triple acceleration is smoother and starts pulling from low rpm versus the high rpm power band of fours. Even through the triple actually accelerate to speed quicker than the four, it didn't "felt" like it since it's smooth acceleration not the sudden one of the 600cc. Either way, your butt dyno isn't an very consistent metric. Take it to a dynamometer or drag strip.

Well it turns out the car is fine. Sticky tires and warmer pavement it grips and goes more than chirping and spinning. Last night it was much cooler out, and i put the car in "Dyno Mode" and man talk about burning rubber LOL..It pulls and runs great.

I wish I had my rubber in my rear tires. I was playing with the car in dyno mode, so much fun but I need to order new rear tires, or I'm gonna end up hydroplaning on the highway like last time lol
