Is your C63 a head turner?
Got this idea from this thread:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=746164
Do you guys have any stories of C63 admiration?
I have noticed that my car gets a lot of looks (and the occasional picture) after I got the wheels powder coated.
I am sure some of the heavily modded C63's on this board are extremely popular on the public roads.

Yeah, the car gets attention, both bad and good (jealous and then appreciative people). I get thumbs up on the freeway, every now and then when i look in the rear view mirror i see that someone is taking a picture with his/her cellphone (could be the vanity plate?). This was a while ago since it happened last but sometimes when i get to my car there's someone photographing the car from different angles. Also i found this a while back, definitely not taken by me: http://youtu.be/zzaBOT01oh8

Wow your C63 wagon is sweet! Wish we got those in the states. Love the Distronic on yours.
While you might not have looked into it, do any after market firms make a carbon fiber diffuser for the wagons?

Thanks! No, haven't really looked into it. It would of course be befitting since i have the exterior cf package. The problem is finding them for the facelift. I would suppose the dimensions are the same as the ones for the coupé and the sedan.

I get tons of attention for a mostly stock car (at least more than I thought I would). I mostly get waves, or thumbs-up's... Occasionally, people will stop and talk to me about my car, too.
I also have tint all around, including the windshield, so I get a ton of people who walk and stare as they go by (not realizing that I am watching them, lol).
As a side note: If my car is dirty, I get much less attention than when my car is clean.
My car, for referrence:

Ya I notice a lot of people checking out the wheels &/or brakes at stop lights. There's lots of C classes around & several C63's just in my area but there all stock so the wheels & brakes catch people's attention.

nope.. most people (and a few friends) think it's a regular c class.. they think i upgraded the exhaust because it's louder than the 'regular' c class. might as well slap the c300 badge so they don't ask me again why it says c63, hehehe.

I recently got mine and rarely get attention from it. AMG's and M cars are fairly common in houston so I just blend in w/ the rest of the C classes. I do get front row parking at valet though, which is a luxury I previously did not enjoy.

I wouldn't be so sure that it's the same shape. The reason I asked is because I think the wagon diffuser is different than the other C Classes. I saw that the parktronic sensors are built into the diffuser instead of above it as on the sedan and coupe. And obviously the rear bumper is a different shape to accommodate the lower opening tailgate.

I've noticed 0 attention with my stock charcoal gray... the C63 is pretty understated imo and the fact that I see 2 or 3 exotics on my 7 mile daily commute probably makes a difference too.

Not as much as my E55 was. But that was modded to hell. My C63 is still relatively stock and still gets some looks.
Our cars really only get the attention of people that "know" cars or the brand. If I wanted to stand out in a crowd I would have gotten a P-Car.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
We have a 2012 C63 P.P. with 19" M/spokes in Palladium.....I suppose one could say that compared with some high performance cars, its appearance is somewhat "understated"?
So, the car does not attract much attention on the street, apart from car enthusiasts, who know what it is....which is the way we like it......we've had a few other cars which "stood out", as a consequence of which every man & his dog wants to race or whatever.
Cheers, Pickles.

my wife bananas! :D
I do get the occasional thumbs up, honk, wave, and admiration. Like others have said, the people who do that typically are people that know what an AMG is. That and C63s are kind of common where I was in Markham. It's pretty common for me to see at least one or two other c63s on the street. so the people who wave.. would say about 30% of them, are driving in their c63s or other amgs as well lol...
do want to say that on the past weekend, i ran into some guy with his SLS tearing down the 404 hwy. sweet car for sure wanted to give him a thumbs up but the dude blew past me and i wasnt going to speed up that much to catch him lol
