Rear axle bearings - help needed!
I bought a LSD recently and went to a local shop that said that they would install it with no problem.
Now they don't want to touch it since they can't find the part numbers for the left and right bearings.
Anyone knows which ones our car need? Be it from MB, Chrysler or w/e.
Thanks in advance.

I was told you don't need to replace the bearings (they are not cheap), but here are the parts numbers:
fig 60 - 2309970346 seal ring, two of them
fig 40 - 2303500349 tapered roller bearing
fig 40 - 2303500249 tapered roller bearing
not in fig - 0039899820 sealant
not in fig - Gear fluid 75w-140 I think

Thanks a lot for the parts numbers!
As you both mentioned that I do not need to replace them, wouldn't it a better option since my car is closing in on 50k miles?
I do believe they have the tool, and the guy seems competent enough (worked on Porsches, Audis, BMWs and Lambos. He just said that he was unsure about them being in top condition...
Thanks again.

It cannot hurt. You just do not see the bearings go bad though. The number of Mercedes differentials that have problems other than the suvs you can count on one hand.
